SpringHill Suites Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront

Great hotel with a lovely staff. The location is perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation hotel

The hotel is on the beach conveniently located to the fishing pier and starbucks and walking distance to many restaurants, shops, bars etc. the hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Free breakfast for those who like that. valet and self parking available.

Ours first time in Jacksonville beach, business and pleasure combine. We really enjoyed ours stayed. The hotel was in a convenient location, the room was spacious, clean with comfortable beds. Our room was on 5th. Floors with partial view of first street, ocean and the pier. However, the room does not have full length or bifocal mirrors. That’s the only reason I don’t like about it. The smash burger and sweet potato fries at sandbar Jax beach restaurant and bar were my favorite. Staffs were friendly. There were pool towels, but no beach towels. Umbrella rentals were available on the beach. But not cheap!

We valet parked and were glad to do so in the rain. The lobby on the second floor meant multiple trips for checkin. The room was nice and the partial view was OK . The wind blew thru all night in the rain. We enjoyed the breakfast and beach walk in the morning. We will return to this place again.

Pleasant check in, plenty of room in the room. The coffee maker is out of date, only coffee was decaf though. I need caffeine. There was a roach the size of a quarter in the closet my granddaughter discovered and traumatized her for a good hour or so - she has ADHD and sensory processing disorder - so bugs are a trigger = especially ones of that size. The steps to the beach were covered with sand so was a bit complicated getting myself and 2 small girls up there when a sudden wind storm approached and again were panicking. And there seems to be a need for access to the beach without going thru the lobby. Maybe there was and I justs didn't realize it was there.

My wife and I always try and stay at Marriots when we travel because you normally know what your getting for your money. We stayed at this Spring Hill the very first year it opened. We went back to Jax Bch again this year and stayed at the Spring Hill again. The staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The food is ok, but the cocktails sitting outside listening to the ocean are priceless! Great access to the pier and lots of restaruants well within walking distance. St. Augaustine is just a short drive south. Another place we go too every year.

We stayed at SPRINGHILL Suites for a wedding….. During a Hurricane!!! The staff amazing. The room clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast perfect(scrambled eggs and bacon with cheese, spinach soufflé, waffles, oatmeal with all the toppings, and a variety of breads for toasting and fruit for eating. The staff went out of their way to make our time memorable, they remembered our names always smiling and willing to assist. The maintenance man even saved the day when he removed a retail stores, magnetic tag that was overlooked on purchased clothing to be worn at the wedding!!!! A big shout out to Jinez, who worked the desk….. thank you for all you do, we appreciated your kindness welcoming smile and your assistance.

SpringHill suites by Marriott Jax Beach A nice new hotel with a Gorgeous ocean view. It was so nice and clean, and not pricey at all. Valet parking on premises, easy self-access if you forget something in the car. The beach here is really wide, sand is soft, and rental chairs are by the day, or by the hour ($5) and a reasonable $15 all day (not part of the hotel). Small balcony with cozy chair. Small closet, in room safe takes up the closet floor space where the luggage rack would be. Coffee pot was the small slide-in square-tray type, and I was disappointed until tasted it. Even the decaf was bold. Free breakfast was just like any small hotel in any town. Yogurt/milk in fridge, oatmeal, reconstituted eggs, waffle machine, bagels, cereals, etc. Staff were very friendly, even as I phoned down multiple times annoyed that there was no hot water after a morning at the beach. So, an ice cold shower for me, and about 3 hours later, hot water for my man, and my brother & his wife on another floor. The restaurant cafe (Sand Bar?) was okay. Service could’ve been more attentive, and ceviche was served chopped up in a ramekin sized dish with thick almost stale tortilla chips. Seafood salad was good, nice portion. Shrimp were big and fresh. Frozen watermelon margarita was very icy with very little watermelon flavor, or alcohol. I would def stay in this hotel again.
