I booked this hotel because it said “river front view,” however, the only view I had was a busy highway and parking lot. There was no microwave nor mini refrigerator in the room. I was very unpleased with the room I got for the price I paid. Will not visit again.

Having Ezzy greet you in the morning for breakfast started the day out great. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It made the reason that the USS Luce picked this establishment to hold the reunion obvious. The staff serving the meals and handling the banquets did a wonderful job and were all very professional. Judy has everything under control and made this an enjoyable experience.

The staff were all wonderful, helpful and hard working. The building however is getting old and in real need of a renovation. Carpet is old and worn don’t think cleaning it would help. Furnishings are old and need replacing. But the staff are excellent and friendly

How dare they charge hotel prices for motel rooms. If I could give a 0 star I would. The rooms are filthy, and I say tooms because on my way down to the front desk to complain, there were other ppl on the elevator with the same intentions! The bed didn’t have a bed skirt exposing the box spring which was literally filthy. Baseboards were dirty and coming off. Walls had stains. The carpet was so filthy I had to put towers on the floor to walk on. I checked in at 4pm and checked out at 6pm. I had to waste my time finding another hotel because staying there was not an option!!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating with my early arrival. They were able to give me a room at 2:30pm when check-in wasn't until 4pm. My main compliant about this hotel was that the tub had a leak and the noise from the leak was very disruptive.
The bathroom was outdated and the room as a whole was just very old and not very inviting.
I was only staying one night, so I didn't make a big deal of the leak but if I was staying longer than 1 night I would have requested a different room.

I’ve stayed in doubletree hotels before but this one is awful. Not sure if brand has declined or it’s just this one. I thought it would be great on riverfront and I even paid extra for riverfront view, but it’s terrible. When I checked in last night the person at front desk was super. That was the best part though. Room was dirty, carpet filthy, no shampoo in bathroom, wall paper peeling. Couldn’t get hot water this morning and After waiting on hold for front desk for 15 min, the engineering guy came up and fiddled with the dial and apparently the handle has to be turned at a certain angle to get hot water—not left and not right. Who knew?? Came back to room at 6pm after a really long day and housekeeper was there and said she was just about to go in room so I told her I would come back. Came back an hour later and the only thing she did was leave two clean towels. Didn’t even take the old ones. With the exception of the gentleman who checked me in last pm, every other staff member I have encountered has not been helpful. I’m not usually so blunt on reviews, but don’t waste your money here. There are plenty of other places to stay on the riverfront.
