Copacabana Hotel and Suites - Adults Only

This place is disgusting and this website is a lie all they want is your money!!! This place is a disaster it’s dirty there’s no one at the front desk I booked for august 6-8 with a jacuzzi So We got there on august 6 at night No one was at the front desk Till we found Someone The guy had to call a lady on the phone to speak English  We got to the room with the Jacuzzi that has no water power and it would take maybe three days to fill up 100 gallon the toilet is Disgusting there’s no hot Water. I’ve tried to contact the front desk nobody was there So  The next morning we left I told the front desk I’m not happy he said to me to contact trip and they would refund me I’m still waiting for the last month I contacted trip im emailing them back and forth for the last month and all they are saying they’re trying to contact the hotel I will never book with them again it’s a scam they will never give you back your money as oversight stick to booking ******* and other sites just not this one they will never refund you your money They going to offer you coins to book again through them why would I Take the coins to book another hotel that the site that lies for them !!! The pictures are of the Jacuzzi and how much water you can see comes out Slowly!

Don’t stay here it’s disgusting. I’m not exaggerating it is nasty!!! Toilet was dirty with poop stains, shower leaked, spider webs, mold, ac didn’t work. The outside is rundown and it’s not handicap accessible. After seeing the room we checked out immediately and found better accommodations.

I’ve stayed here twice, first in 2014, and again in August 2021. In that seven years there were no noticeable repairs or improvements to the property. In 2021 the larger “clothing appropriate or optional”pool was green with contamination, supposedly the result of recent floods. The room 3rd floor was clean enough but with a nasty jacuzzi on the balcony which made it unusable. Evidence of deterioration all around. Scary stairs, uneven ground areas around the pool courtyard made me scared of falling. As of now - October 2023 the property is closed and apparently the subject of much needed repairs and improvements.

The staff was wonderful but the property is falling apart which is probably why no one else was there. There were a few older gentlemen who seem to be regulars there that definitely made it uncomfortable for us as a couple. The raccoons living in the ceiling were just an added bonus

The place is a dump. We had heard from friends that arrived earlier that they were moving to another hotel and made reservations for us too. I wouldn't even get out of the car while my husband was trying to find someone to talk to. He finally spoke to a reservation agent in San Jose. She was not cooperative. The floor going into the hotel was rotting away. The ceilings above 2 rooms had fallen down. As we drove out, the side you drive by was disguating....roof tiles missing, scaffolding, ac units falling off the wall. Our friends arrived late the day before and had to stay there one night. The room had a bed. Not even a trash can. We were promised breakfast but there was no restaurant. My husband attempted to get a refund. To date, we have not received it. I sent Copacabana an email with the photos saying I expect a refund. The email was returned saying it was not deliverable as the mailbox was full. So I contacted AMEX and they are crediting me. I sent them the photos that I took from the car. I can't say enough how bad it was.

This hotel is a DUMP, a RAT HOLE. Built probably between 1960 and 1970 it has never been renovated nor maintained. When I arrived the reception area was empty. I found an employee who immediately offered me a room upgrade at no charge and led me to my room. Let me decribe this hotel: My room was relaitively clean, but its door rubbed against the floor and would open only half-way. On the bed 2 bath towels which at some time must have been white but were now grey. No desk on which to put a computer and work. A balcony: its patio door was so rusted that I could not open it more than half. On the balcony a jacuzzi, empty and with rusted jets, 2 chairs which cushions were cracked with the filling coming out. No facecloths nor hand towels in the bathroom. A small wardrobe with some hangers, but no shelf nor drawers. A safe, but the digital pad was nor functional; they gave me a key for it. The hotel wifi network was not functional. The employee gave me another network to use, but it was so unstable that it would disconnect afer a few seconds. I went down to explore the area. No gardening. The first pool was clear, but no one aroud. The second pool was hazy and again no one around. I felt I was the only guest at this hotel. I asked for the restauant and was told it was CLOSED !! I decided to leave and went back to my room to look for another hotel on my computer. After approximately 15 attemps to stay conected I abandoned and went to the Best Western close by. Trip Advisor should remove the 4 out of 5 rating for this hotel. As a matter of fact Trip Advisor should remove this hotel entirely from its listings. DO NOt GO THERE !!

DON'T DO IT! Booked this location for one night for a guest. This is their review "We did not stay at this hotel after walking inside. The hotel was rundown, the air conditioning didn't work. The room smelled bad, the linens were dirty and it overall looked questionable, so we walked out without staying there. This is a place I wouldn't recommend to anyone". Booked this on ********** and they refused to refund me and said the state of the hotel was not their issue. They are only an agent and can't be held responsible for the hotel that misrepresented itself. Only good side is that it is very close to the beach, nothing else.

They are selling the place. Minumal staff, dirty pools, 2 broken hot tubs, Only had hot water the last day of my 1 week stay. Run down & need of a lot of repairs. Can open room door with the "do not disturb sign" as no dead bolt. No nude beach & saw only 6 nude people in a week at the pool. Food is very limited. Everything is dark by 10PM. Only 1 speaker for the whole resort. Stay away!
