Mwambani is a nice, clean and quiet middle class house located in the Mwendawima area (South Jambiani), with front garden and pleasant veranda where the meals are served, hardly 50 metres away from the beach which you can reach through a public path right next to the house. I've just spent 18 days there and would have stayed longer if I could. It has only 4 rooms, all with ceiling fan, mosquito net and ensuite bathroom with hot water and private toilet. When Abdulli, the manager, is away, his friend Saidi is there to help you. Both are very friendly and nothing is too much to ask. Breakfast is excellent (juice, fruits, eggs any style, toast, pancakes or chapati, butter and local honey); no real coffee though: only instant coffee, milk or tea. Salma, the chef, can also cook you a nice traditional lunch or dinner, accompanied by a bottle of wine if you like. Good WiFi if guests are not streaming movies at the same time. No need to go to Jozani forest to see red monkeys: there is a red colobus family visiting almost every day...
