Aventine Town Hotel

The room I got is with small window facing the corridor. It looks old and doesn't seem like recently renovated. It might be better to pay a bit more and get a room with windows. There are people smoking at the hotel lobby. Dining hall and lobby look a bit old too, far from how it looks like in the video / photo. My clothes smell bad after using the washing machine here, and I don't see any place where I can dry the clothes so I had to hang them in my room and it's difficult to dry especially with no window in the room. Overall the experience is not very great.

Bad experience, location was good but the hotel was shady and not clean.

One can tell that, when new... this was an elegant French-style hotel. It is a bit rundown now, but still comfortable and clean, and well worth the price. The beds and linens are good and comfortable. The bathroom, with the marble vanity you'd see in luxury hotels, was clean and nice. The hotel manager's office is a Mongolian yurt on the terrace on the 3rd floor! Though breakfast WAS included, it was not very good. Just a spare Chinese style breakfast. No eggs, or bread. No coffee. Toiletries only were a toothbrush and paste. The location is good. Near a beautiful forest park, and on the same Hexing Road as the entrance to the Blue River scenic area. We will definitely stay here again... as Jiaxing offers more than enough attractions for 2–3 days.
