Discovery Parks - Jindabyne

Had a terrific stay at the Discovery Park Jindabyne, well maintained park for campers, caravans and cottages of different sizes. Beautiful location opposite the Jindabyne Lake. We stayed in one of the newly built Superior 2 Bedroom Cabin with Fireplace. We had Cabin 90 that is located closest to the Lake. Extremely comfortable and everything new. Friendly service on arrival and departure from all the staff at Reception. As the cabin is self contained very limited supplies of coffee, sugar, tea, S&P are supplied. Bring your own and don't forget the cooking oil for those stay in nights of BBQ's. Jumping pillow, chess set, and canoe/kayak hire onsite for further exploring Lake Jindabyne. Highly recommend a stay here.

I am very disappointed with the service, I made a booking for work related reasons and the very next day my work situation had changed which was out of my control. So I called them the next day and asked for a refund and they would not out of goodwill refund me the full amount and charged me 1 night stay. They offered to reschedule but I wasn't travelling for a holiday so I wasn't able to choose that option. So please be careful before booking and keep this in mind because they will show no mercy or goodwill if you need to make a cancellation for any reason and will only act upon their policy.

Discovery Parks Kakgoorlie and Bubury WA. I took up membership at Kakgoorlie Discovery Park last year. 2023. On Sunday 25th Feb 24 I book online. With my Member Number. I arrived at Bunbury Discovery Park to take up.my site. In which I have never been to before. Staff Member claims My Name & Member Number has been Blacklisted? I am shocked, dismayed and livid all in one. She also claims to have returned My Online Payment. Here's hoping it returns to my bank account. Worst caravan Park Organisation Nationally I've ever !

This was a great return trip to the park, which had been noticeable uplifted since our last visit. We stayed in a deluxe cabin which was spacious and clean. The balcony was very relaxing. The grounds were well maintained and I was surprised at how clean and nice looking the amenities block was. It’s great to see the Maya Asian restaurant and Trader Joe’s cafe on-site too - they really supplement the park. We flagged a couple of minor maintenance things with reception who flagged with maintenance to fix. Highly recommends

A mate pre-paid 5 nights in a 2 bedroom (1 queen room and 1 bunk room), I joined him 2 nights into his stay. I pre arranged with reception my arrival. At checkin i had pretty much beg for a 2nd key and i was told i couldn't have a boom gate pass. This did my head in as the park was far from full, so they would of had plenty. I offered to pay extra and i was still told no. Other than that, no complaints the cabin was great.

Absolutely loved our stay. We stayed in a Superior 2 bedroom cabin with Fireplace, cabin #90 and it was perfect, couldn’t fault it. Everything was brand new and very modern, full kitchen, great sized bathroom with a full shower (with great water pressure!) and a cozy fireplace. Our cabin was in the bottom corner of the park, below the tennis courts and we had a fantastic view straight out across the lake. The park is in a great spot, right on the lake, across from the turnoff to Thredbo and a few minutes drive into town. There’s also a Thai restaurant right outside the entrance to the park which we highly recommend, lovely service and so delicious. We did a day trip one day to Thredbo which was about a 30 min drive, and a day trip to Charlotte Pass which was about the same. We visited in the first week of October and there was still snow on the mountain at Thredbo and at Charlotte Pass. We will 100% be back!

We stayed in a deluxe cabin for three nights and our cabin was infested with mice. We spoke to the caretaker one evening regarding getting mice traps but none were made available. We were advised that the manager would contact us the day after we checked out but we never heard anything. The park is very aged, overgrown and cramped, and the roads were being resurfaced in the park during our stay so this made it slightly difficult to get around. This is the first time we have stayed at Discovery in 20 years of coming to Jindabyne and we definitely do not recommend it to anyone.

Text: The worst experience we had in Australia. The cabin is clean but complet worn out. It is unbelievable they rent out cabins like this. An upgrade was very expensive. Our advice do not book here. Our advice is to book in Jindabyne nearby. We will never come back.

I booked a Standard Cabin but did not expect it to be as good as this. Firstly, the reception staff when we checked in where really welcoming and helpful. The Standard Cabin is equipped with everything we need....cooking gear, good cooking appliances, TV with excellent reception, When we entered the cabin it was hot outdoors and they had the aircon on which was brilliant. The cabin is super clean and the grounds are well maintained. The price for our 3 night stay is unbeatable for everything you get. Without a doubt this is an excellent place.
