Awesome onsen, breakfast was ok

Overall it's good and the staff are very welcoming. I booked a private hot spring hotel, and the hotel provided private lounge service. This was a great surprise to me. But the hotel room is a bit old and the food is not very good! needs improvement

Service: Pleasant stay. The room type was wrong at first, but it was changed in time after I asked. The hot spring was very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were also very good. There is a hotel shuttle bus to pick up at the station.

Why can't it be given zero points? ! The hot springs are the dirtiest I have seen in Japan in so many years! Ctrip should remove such hotels from its shelves! I really don’t know how a hotel like this can be so expensive! ! !

It's seen better days. Quality of the meals was disappointing. Room was spacious and clean but the property in general is tired and needs upgrading. It's a bit on the outskirts of the main part of Yamashiro Onsen but there's a bus stop across the street if you want to get into town. We took it to get to Yamanaka Onsen and to Kakusenkei Gorge.

Stayed in Rurikoh for 3 nights. I have to say this hotel is quite popular with tour groups and most of them stay here on their way to see Central Japan. The hotel is a bit dated but still clean. All things are large here to accommodate the big crowds - ie Conference rooms, lounges, hotel lobby and restaurants and even the Public Onsen is large. We stayed here to experience the onsens and were not disappointed. There is one indoor + outdoor Public bath, and one private bath. We didn’t try the private one as its chargeable, so we went to the public one only. By staying in Rurikoh, we can even go to the sister hotel, Hatori, to experience their onsen baths there. There are 2 public baths there and many private ones. When we compare the 2 onsen baths, we find that Hatori’s is newer but smaller. Rurikoh’s has its charms and I am sure it used to be the best in the 80’s. Rurikoh has the larger bath and when crowded, you don’t see much of other bathers. As for the room, it is rather dated. We booked the twin room, western style Type A and it was large for Japan Standards. We didn’t take the meals options as there are plenty of Izakayas and restaurants if you drive around. Most restaurants charge less for food and if you dont mind driving around instead of eating in the hotel, you can save quite a fair bit. As for amenities, the hotel is very generous with things like onsen towels, use of Yukatas, water moisturisers, plentiful of toothbrushes and combs. As for the service, staff here are very courteous and they speak English well. One good point with the service is that they will park your car for you and bring it to the front every morning without you even asking. Overall, for the price that we paid and the service and amenities that we got, i would give this a 4star.

We didn't expect much from the huge hot spring hotel, but it was a hotel that greatly exceeded that expectation. First of all, this hotel is basically run by people who understand the great hotel service spirit. I was satisfied with the hot springs, rooms, food, employee service, etc. The hot springs are large and clean, and we were able to experience the wonderful Japanese hot springs. The room was a Western-Japanese room facing the garden and was a beautifully renovated room. The food was delicious and we were satisfied with the quantity and quality. The employees were well educated and responded comfortably. However, I thought it was necessary to improve the fact that the air conditioner outlet on the ceiling of the corridor was dirty. We were able to discover a high-level hotel that comprehensively understands the hospitality of the hotel. We would like to continue to welcome customers who are looking forward to visiting Japanese hot springs and services.　巨大温泉ホテルには、あまり期待して居ませんでしたが、その期待を大きく超えたホテルでした。まず基本的に素晴らしい素材を持っている事です。温泉、部屋、料理、従業員対応サービス等々どれを取っても満足行くものでした。温泉は広く清潔感があり素晴らしい温泉を体験する事が出来ました。部屋は洋和室内庭向き部屋で、綺麗にリホームされている部屋でした。料理も美味しく、量質共に満足でした。従業員も良く教育がされており気持ちの良い対応をしてくれました。　ただし、廊下天井のエアコン吹き出し口が汚れていた点が要改善と思いました。　総合的にホテルのホスピタリティをよく理解しているレベルの高いホテルを発見する事が出来ました。古くなった箇所を修繕しながら、温泉を楽しみに訪問する顧客を迎えてもらいたいと思います。

Great Service!

During our stay, the earthquake caused a lot of trouble, but the staff were very helpful to us. Thank you very much. We hope that we can return to normal business as soon as possible.

I was very satisfied with both meals. It was a shame that there were no cushions in the rooms, no tea, and we had to go to the common area in the building to get tea.

When making the reservation, I declared that I have an ostomate and asked if I could use the large public bath, but when I checked in, they offered us a private bath, so I was able to relax and enjoy the Yamashiro Onsen waters without worrying about other bathers. The facility itself may not be new, but the windows in the rooms and restaurant were sparkling clean, and I realized this is a very thoughtful inn. I'd like to use it again.

I spent a relaxing time at a Japanese-style inn for the first time in a while. We stayed as a family of four, and the living room was spacious and comfortable. I arrived a little earlier than planned, but I was glad that I was able to check in right away. It felt like an old-fashioned inn, but I was surprised at the size of the entrance lobby. I took a bath in the large communal bath, but I also took my time to enjoy the open-air bath. I chose this inn because my grandson wanted to use the sauna, but he was disappointed that there was no cold bath after the sauna. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and the Japanese-style Kaiseki meal was both beautiful and delicious.

The facility was clean and the service was plentiful. The people who used it were able to relax in the calm atmosphere.
