I took it back to my room and drank it slowly. The main dish for dinner was sukiyaki. The baths are on the 1st and 8th floors, and the men's and women's baths are alternated. You can see the Zao mountain range from the hot spring on the 8th floor. If you make a reservation from the hotel's official website, you can stay at the cheapest price and receive a gift certificate that can be used at the shop for 500 yen per person.

A small upclass onsen ryokan situated near Zao onsen but a bit far away, you will easily missed the hotel entrance if not careful, the atmosphere is peaceful and you can hear the sound of nature (forest), quite a nice ryokan, but it would be better if they provide kettle in room instead of having to travel to the hotel lobby to obtain hot water.

I just about 5-7 minutes walk from the station. Is really a nice hotel. Looks very new and room size is good. I really like the restaurant downstairs. The beef is one of the best I ever have. Also discount for hotel guests. Same restaurant for breakfast.

An inn with a connection to poet Mokichi Saito. Waka poems written by the guests and locals are displayed, and there are *****s of paper and writing brushes in the room. We stayed for 2 nights with two couples from June 18. The room was a large room of 30 square meters of Japanese bed on the 3 floor, and there were 2 elevators, convenient, old and weak feet. Dinner was delicious for two days with a great kaiseki dish with a good appearance and a variety of ingredients. The hot springs were in the inner bath and the open air, respectively, with a milky white bath with a rich sulfur fragrance. The location is good. Room is decent equipped with heater that I think is time to replace seems not working very well. The breakfast and dinner especially is very worth n nice. First night we had pork shabu shabu n second night lamb BBQ. The staffs in restaurants r friendly n good, especially the old uncle n Philippo lady . Can see all the local staffs sort of rely or keep letting the lady work only as she speak english. In other words, a bit taking advantage of her. onsen is also nice especially the outdoor with trees n snow feel. The front desk staffs r very bad. There is one young guy that just stand there and when I carry my little girl with one hand while another hand pushing luggage where I need to push the entrance door. During check in, even the philipino girl helped to push the luggage inside while the same guy just stand there n look. Another more serious attitude guy was the older shorter guy with mole on his face, I parked my car in front as there was no parking didn't know is the hotel's van lot, the guy spoke with to remove the car like scolding n yelling at me. Super bad attitude. Lastly the air filter in the room, the cleaning standard operating procedure should include cleaning the water tank n it's surrounding. Looks very dirty with mold. Overall is worth your money n experience just some negative experiences by some bad staffs. Not missing another issue is the smoking room, is the exactly at the entrance n next to the welcome drinks sofa (though with ventilation n dedicated room but still can smell the smoke)
