Pros: The hotel is very nice.. clean and tidy. Our room was great. Fantastic views over the sea...the food was ok, lovely eating area, (although the manager was patrolling around most of the time like a warden) Not quite the relaxed greek atmosphere I'm used to but fine, Cons: the hotel is situated at the top of a hill, and is isolated, I obviously didn't do enough due diligence/research before I booked because it's a trek just down to the local supermarket and back,I'm a fit 50yr old bloke. But in the heat, it was very difficult!! The shuttle bus service from the hotel ends 12.30 until 5.30. To go anywhere you have to catch the bus or order a taxi(all taxis come from skiathos town). We went mid-July 2024. And the only entertainment was a one man band once a week (he was pretty good as it goes). The pool area had plenty of loungers as long as you didn't wander up after 1 pm.. the snacks and menu at the pool bar were limited, to say the least.. AND to the absolute disbelief & consternation of my wife and inlaws. NO ice creams anywhere to be seen.. 🤷, the beers were 6 euro for a half in a plastic cup, we got the shuttle bus down to the beach one day.. upon enquiring about 4 loungers. We were told you have to book. And it's probably best to book 2 days in advance. So we were on the beach without loungers and couldn't get back to the hotel because the shuttle service had finished, at this point I'll reiterate, I am at fault partly for not releasing just how isolated you are at the hotel, so from the beach we got the water taxi over to skiathos town, by far my favourite thing, lovely 20 min trip over, so in summary if you're happy to go out on day trips everyday direct from the hotel, or hardly ever leave the hotel like an all inclusive then this could be for you, we're all different, but if you like to go for a stroll.. meander around the area when the mood takes you. And when at the pool bar, expect a cold beer preferably in a glass, and a nice ice cream to take the edge of the heat.. maybe this isn't the place for you.. the people we talked to who had been before said it had changed hands and wasn't like this before, so maybe we were just unlucky, and it's in transition? I've been going greece for over 2 decades so I know what to expect, especially for the money paid... unfortunately, this wasn't worth it. In my opinion....
