We had a lovely stay at Skiathos Blu. The staff were great and looked after us really well. The room was comfortable particularly the bed and shower. The air con worked well, helped us get a good nights sleep. Breakfasts were varied and fresh. Good coffee! The pool area was super. Plenty of comfortable sun beds and umbrellas. The pool bar served tasty lunch snacks. Access to the beach is down fairly steep steps but there is a shuttle bus. If you struggle with steps try to book into the hotel building rather than the bungalows. Easy to get from the hotel into Skiathos Town by bus or water taxi. Skiathos is a lovely island and we will be back..

Just returned from 9 nights stay at the Skiathos Blu hotel The hotel is very nice and in a quiet location set in Lovely grounds with fantastic views of the Skiathos coast line. We stayed in one of the hotels bungalows which was very modern and had a very good view from the balcony it was vary clean. All the staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return to this hotel

Pros: The hotel is very nice.. clean and tidy. Our room was great. Fantastic views over the sea...the food was ok, lovely eating area, (although the manager was patrolling around most of the time like a warden) Not quite the relaxed greek atmosphere I'm used to but fine, Cons: the hotel is situated at the top of a hill, and is isolated, I obviously didn't do enough due diligence/research before I booked because it's a trek just down to the local supermarket and back,I'm a fit 50yr old bloke. But in the heat, it was very difficult!! The shuttle bus service from the hotel ends 12.30 until 5.30. To go anywhere you have to catch the bus or order a taxi(all taxis come from skiathos town). We went mid-July 2024. And the only entertainment was a one man band once a week (he was pretty good as it goes). The pool area had plenty of loungers as long as you didn't wander up after 1 pm.. the snacks and menu at the pool bar were limited, to say the least.. AND to the absolute disbelief & consternation of my wife and inlaws. NO ice creams anywhere to be seen.. 🤷, the beers were 6 euro for a half in a plastic cup, we got the shuttle bus down to the beach one day.. upon enquiring about 4 loungers. We were told you have to book. And it's probably best to book 2 days in advance. So we were on the beach without loungers and couldn't get back to the hotel because the shuttle service had finished, at this point I'll reiterate, I am at fault partly for not releasing just how isolated you are at the hotel, so from the beach we got the water taxi over to skiathos town, by far my favourite thing, lovely 20 min trip over, so in summary if you're happy to go out on day trips everyday direct from the hotel, or hardly ever leave the hotel like an all inclusive then this could be for you, we're all different, but if you like to go for a stroll.. meander around the area when the mood takes you. And when at the pool bar, expect a cold beer preferably in a glass, and a nice ice cream to take the edge of the heat.. maybe this isn't the place for you.. the people we talked to who had been before said it had changed hands and wasn't like this before, so maybe we were just unlucky, and it's in transition? I've been going greece for over 2 decades so I know what to expect, especially for the money paid... unfortunately, this wasn't worth it. In my opinion....

Hotel, is okay, large pool.. good choice of breakfast, but the half board we tried the other night for €20 each was just okay. Restaurants are much better value and they have the Greek culture. Our bungalow is quite nice, big but a little sparse, but clean, has balcony, fridge and aircon. Would not like to stop in main hotel, due to music every other night which goes on until about 12am and it must echo right round. Staff are really nice but it really caters for the English which loses a bit of that Greek feel. I think the key issues for people will be the 350 steps, in this heat it’s Bliddy hard work, I have felt my age using them. So we walk down them and get the shuttle back up which is every hour. The island is really situated Along the 26 bus stops with it not being developed in the other side. We decided not to get 4 x 4 due to the numbers that fall off them. The water taxi to old port costs €4.50 each way, Bus €2.00. If you go in at night on Water Taxi last one back is 10.30pm bus goes on to 1.30am. Last shuttle back up to hotel from beach is 10.30pm, if you miss it it’s the steps… and with a belly full of beer and lovely Greek food its tough 🤣 Overall it’s a lovely island, food is good, wine a bit naff and it I think it’s nicer than Mykonos, not as pretentious. It gives you the Greek fix, warmth and laid back feeling is lovely and if I was a beach person you would love it as beach at bottom of hotel is lovely and sea is crystal clear and warm So at £495 B&B you cannot complain about it, with others paying £1200 for the same this week 😱.

The stories about stairs in this hotel are not to be underestimated. There where 106 steps from our bungalow to breakfast and we where on the third row - from the top. The views are stunning but the lack of things to do at night was the real reason I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Nothing is in easy reach, not with over 400 steps between the main building and the beach.

Stayed here for 1 week with my girlfriend. So I did really like this hotel the staff on reception and by the pool are nice. The hotel is at the top of a hill so I would recommend staying in the main hotel as the bungalows that you can also stay in are pot luck I would guess whether you have 200 steps to breakfast or 50. Pool area is nice with a lush view and plenty of beds and towels however the music they play is crap with a mix of either drake or dance music. 2 gripes with this hotel. 1 is it is very loud on a evening with the entertainment they run I think every other night just in the bar in the main hotel. it just echoes through the whole building and is loud when you are in bed even at 11 o’clock if you aren’t a big drinker and in the bar. The second thing wich annoyed me quite a bit was after check out baring in mind we hadn’t even left the hotel yet, I realised I left my book in the room and was told it would have just been thrown away..? Anyway 3 stars, decent hotel - wouldn’t stay again but I would recommended it. Also get a car it was so good having one as we visited most beaches on the island. If you don’t have one you’ll have to get a bus pretty much everywhere. Don’t get a moped, we came across 3 couples who rented one and had fell off them due to the road surface and were covered huge painful scrapes covered in antiseptic spray.

Beautiful hotel for a visit to the island. Staff friendly and rooms nice and clean. Breakfast was nice with plenty to choose from. A few points to keep in mind if you’re looking for a greek atmosphere at your hotel. There wasn’t much in the way of “Greekness” apart from the staff and the decor! The hotel mostly catered for the British tourist with British food and loud disco music every night. There was a handful of Greek holidaymakers when we were there but mainly British. They were very noisy every night after the disco. Shouting in the corridors and slamming the doors. This went on most nights until 2am. The pool area opened at 10am every morning but unless you were up at the crack of dawn, you had no chance getting a bed as most people had already put towels on them. Was expecting a more traditional hotel and a few more nationalities visiting. Definitely a British hotel which wasn’t what we really wanted.

Fantastic holiday at Skiathos Blu hotel. Wonderful friendly staff and comfortable room. Food was excellent and evening entertainment was great, especially the Greek night. We stayed in a bungalow n the hill which was about 240 steps from the beach and about 150 from the main reception. If you are mildly fit and healthy you won’t have an issue with the stairs. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Skiathos Blu!
