Nakayasu Ryokan

It was nice that the evening meal was served in the room.

Recommended for people wanting to experience a ryokan on a small budget. I didn't have dinner there but the Japanese breakfast was excellent. The baths are separate for men and women, the only criticism I can make is that the bath water could be slightly warmer. Very authentic room with futon, yukata, tatami and Japanese-style chair. Tea with a treat awaits us in the room on arrival. Toilets and sinks outside the bedrooms, on the landing. The reception has a good command of English.

This inn has been around for a long time and was the perfect base for sightseeing in Kanazawa. The accommodation was kept clean, the environment was quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Accommodation is based on a plan where bathrooms and toilets are shared within the building. I was very lucky to be able to use the bathhouse for private use at certain times of the year. The restrooms were also clean and nice. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity. thank you very much!

Upon arriving, there was not a warm welcome from the owner. He gets angry with his employees. We enter the room, really disappointed because it is very rudimentary to the point that the guide wonders where we have fallen.... But, little by little, we will take our hot bath, each on his own, men and women, basic but clean. Then, we set up the coffee table and we dress in kimono and sit on the floor, we wait for the meal. It is DELICIOUS, hearty as can be. Then, tidying up the table and putting thin mattresses on the tatami and we have a good night's sleep. The breakfast leaves something to be desired but frankly, not that bad. But overall, average.
