This Ryokan is lovely, Bungo is super nice and he helped as a lot! His recommendations for restaurants, places to visit are awesome too ! We had a great time in this guesthouse and would love to come back next time!

Without doubt, the most helpful, genuine, friendly managers that I have had the pleasure of meeting.
Great location central to a number of attractions and a short walk from the rest. Some great restaurants very close as well as a convenience store.

This ryokan is fantastic. Huge and beautiful traditional room. Warm welcome from Bungo and his mother, always available to help us (give directions, provide access to bikes, call a taxi, refer us to a good restaurant).
For a unique and traditional experience, this is the ideal place.

Host reached out to us ahead of time with a welcoming email so the tone was set for a warm and rewarding stay.
Once we arrived, his suggestions were exceptional (the ninja castle! fireflies out in the sculpture walk! the restaurant around the corner! the old neighborhoods!) He is the 5th-generation to run this ryokan and his pride in the place shows in every detail. Close to everything and authentic in every way. A wonderful place.

This is a family home with several guest rooms. We had the largest room with bath and toilet. Comfortable bedding is on the floor with a lovely view of the garden from western-style chairs on the verandah. The ryokan has a family-size onsen where you can bathe privately with your partner. Location is a 15 minute walk to the station but close to the sights. Free wifi.

The bath and toilet were shared, but since we had a small child with us, we were able to use the bath exclusively.
The toilet was also very clean and well-maintained.
We had a very comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Ryokan Yamamuro! Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet. The family that runs the inn couldn't have been nicer. They were extremely gracious, responsive, and easy to communicate with, and they gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit in Kanazawa and restaurants to try. They helped make our time in Kanazawa one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Japan!
