Mahaweli Reach Hotel

We came for the only dinner. Served by Nadeesha and Indika. Gave us excellent service. Food was delicious and miss nadeesha is very kind girl special Thanks for nadeesha we highly recommend mahaweli hotel. We come back again..............

We had a 3 days stay at the hotel also planning for a birthday celebration. At the reception when we were filling the details I let them know that we had a birthday celebrant, my mother, and they asked how and where we wanted the cake to be. It was amazing. On the day of the birthday, there was a surprise when we entered the room, it was nicely decorated welcoming us in with a birthday wishing. Which was absolutely lovely. Special thanks to Kumudu. The owner of the hotel, Mr. Panabokka was there at the dinner time too and talked to us, when I also mentioned that it was my mom's birthday, he wished my mom and ensured if I had made the staff aware of the birthday. That was so nice of him. That night my mom was surprised with a cake on the hotel. I had already asked them to prepare it for dinner to cut the cake after main meals, during dessert time. When it was closing in on the time I also asked them to play the birthday song with live music (live music was already playing at the time) whilst bringing the cake. Everyone attended to each and every request of mine. Thank you so much, Mr. Indika, Anjali and the staff we were all so happy and my mom was indeed surprised. Apart from all that, I should mention that they have a lovely garden, which is maintained by Mr. Nihal and the Manager. They are such nice people. Thank you for giving us your time and teaching us more about plants whenever we asked about the plants and trees. When it comes to food, the buffet was splendid! Loved the food. I should also thank Nadeesha, Ajantha, and Aruna for attending to our requests when dining. Also Raneesh, always had a smile on his face inspite standing at the fruit/waffle/pancakes area serving customers for so long in the morning. Such pleasant to see. The downside I encountered during my stay at the hotel was that their a-la-carte menu was not that good. There were vegetarian, as well as non-veg with us. Except for a vegetarian wrapper we had as a starter, none of the other meals were at least satisfactory (of both veg and non-veg, which we ordered). So I wouldn't recommend a-la-carte menu, which is mostly available for lunch and no buffet. However, I would absolutely recommend their buffet. The dining area didn't have fans, so we were not feeling comfortable in the afternoon. The fans they have didn't have long enough extension codes to reach to certain tables at times, and neither did we get a satisfying air blow. The night was pretty much cool and we didn't have the need to request for a fan. All in all, I loved the stay. Had a wonderful and pleasant time. The staff is so nice. Spacious bedrooms in the new building. There's so much area to walk. There's a pond, there's a good view of the river. There's a lovely garden. A good place for nature lovers.

Beautiful location and hotel, wonderful views. Very friendly staff, Nadeesha and Charuka wonderful hosts in the dining room. Head chef very visible and world class food. Shame I'm only here one night. Highly recommended Shame I'm only here for one night.

Very client friendly hotel, with an excellent view of the Mahaweli River, set in great ambience for a peaceful and comfortable stay. Highly recommend to foreigners visiting Kandy. Excellent western and eastern delectable meals with all 5 star facilities. Thanks for the great time special thanks to Mr Jayantha Panabokke and hotel staff for making our stay very memorable

One of the most luxurious hotel in the Kandy city. The food is very delicious.the service was much higher than we expected. Special thanks for Nadeesha.she is very talented and very active girl. We enjoyed our visit🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 all round are Great 👍

Wow, it's an amazing hotel at the perfect location just right next to the Mahaweli River. The morning view through my balcony was breathtaking. I've been to Kandy so many times before, but this is the first time I have stayed at this hotel. I have never had such a great experience like this ever before. Special thanks to Coastline Travlels (Nalin) for the suggestion to stay here. The staff were amazing and so helpful, the food was amazing and there were so many options to choose from. My whole family loved it there. I'd like to go here again and again if I got a chance. Thank you, Mahaweli Reach Hotel team.

First visit for the hotel. Food was very nice and room was of decent size and had facilities to make the stay conferable. Staff was very good and helpful. Special thanks for Nadeesha she is very kind and served us smiley face. Bar erea is very beautiful and have a nice juices.

Foods are very tasty.. Good staff and good service. Ms. Nadeeshas' support is excellent and very helpful. Good and calm view in the restaurant. Hotel location also very good. We can spend our time with family vey happily and celebrate our birthday or any function with mahaweli hotel.
