Hot spring Hotels in Karuizawa

West side was around 10 min walk from the outlet mall and took us nearly 30 mins to walk (with a kid) to the East Side Snow Park. Room was just okay for its price - lobby looks better and newer than the room which was a bit old fashioned, yellowish (without a full mirror too) and not spacious. We drove there. For this price point, we would try other hotels next time, like Hilton in the area, given we need to walk a long way from West Side to everywhere, even to the hotel lobby and car park.

This is a stunning property and all around excellent place to stay with one caveat. The amenities are excellent, the grounds tranquil and gorgeous. The library was a nice place to chill, has snacks all day, whisky an sake/champagne in the evening to enjoy a nightcap, special little treats outside in the garden etc. The onsen was magic and the nature trail to connect you to the forest and surrounding areas was delightful. The staff was incredible, attentive, and kind. Anything we needed they happily accommodated. We had a treatment at the spa And the kaiseki dinner with sake pairing which were both lovely and worth the expense. But the rooms may not live up to your expectations. We rented a junior maisonette for our family of four. While what is pictured on the website is lovely and inviting, what we got was a two story townhouse in the middle of a three-plex that felt a little old, was at the edge of the property, and faced a road that was hidden by a tall fence. Had I know this is what I was getting I would have definitely chosen differently and probably not stayed here. Because for as expensive this property is I expected the actual room to be far superior than what it was. But if you can secure one of the better rooms on the water then I say go for it.

The front desk 竹村, on June 18th 10:50, she told us there’s no pick up service after check out (there is), without offering any assistance to deliver our bags to the station. We feel that the staffs are poorly trained when it comes to the hotel facility nor their communication skills. The hotel itself is highly enjoyable especially the hot spring! Everything is brand new and the surroundings are epic! I’m sorry to have to minus one star because of 竹村’s poor reaction to customers’ requests.

Our stay at the hotel was great! Being a Marriott Bonvoy member allowed us a nice upgrade for our room. Onsite staff spoke English very well. The room was very orderly and spacious. Also, this Marriott was one of the few hotels I have been to that had the room allergy ready when I told them I was allergic to feathers on the reservation. The free beverages (beer, wine, cocktails, juice, and soda) and hot meals during the membership lounge time were nice. The public bath was very clean and relaxing. The management team went above and beyond! We asked the doorman to arrange a taxi to get to a local restaurant. Instead, he worked with the assistant manager, who told us he would personally drive us to the restaurant (even included a return trip!) The breakfast buffet was excellent and had both American and Japanese fare. I will recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family who visit the area.

Firstly, if you are afraid of insects, it is recommended to stay in the main building. The forest cabin is really not suitable. Secondly, if you have mobility problems, it is also recommended to take a detour. Although there is a shuttle bus, it is not convenient after all. If you live at the highest point of the uphill like we did, then this place is very suitable for training leg strength.

Cost performance is the best hotel. The price is middle class, but the quality is only a luxury hotel. So please stay for a while. I write the improvement points afterwards, but it is a level that you don't have to hesitate to stay because it is trivial. The first is that there are few amenities. There is no cosmetic water or body cream system in particular. It is not possible because it is a recent flow, but I think it is the best if there is. The second is hot spring. The facilities and atmosphere are the best, but it is difficult to sit slowly because the water flow in the bathtub is strong. It's flowing sideways. The staff is perfect if you have another step of hospitality. If you carry out training like Hyatt, I think it's worth it even if it's 20% plus at a price.

The price is a bit expensive, and the hotel facilities are a bit old, but the service is very good. I will stay here next time I have the opportunity. The service staff are very enthusiastic and actively helped me heat the rice balls. Praise!

We stayed for 2 nights this time on our second stay. 1We stayed in a family room for one night but it was very comfortable with ample size to spend with family 3 people. From the balcony you can see the golf course and Mt. Asama surrounded by nature, and your heart is calm. The hotel here is great with hot springs in the annex. It is very pleasant to be soaked in a bathtub while watching Mt. Asama during the daytime with good weather. The breakfast buffet was firmly equipped with infection measures and I was able to eat with peace of mind. I like it so delicious that fruit juice is added. The hotel staff is soft and only 々 who greets you when you pass. I was able to stay very comfortable.

Although it is far from the station, it is very convenient to have someone to pick it up by car. In the morning, you will be booked with you to determine the time to go. The only inconvenience is that there is no supper in my order. There are no convenience stores around. Other play facilities and hot spring bath facilities are ok The prices are also very clean. I also arranged a large room for me alone I ate breakfast at the hotel in the morning and loved waking up in the forest early in the morning. It was a weak alkaline spring, but there is no particular feeling of moisture. The open-air bath was not seasonally blurred and it was just good. There is a spring pool in front of the open-air bath, and you need to be careful not to enter it wrong, laugh. Dinner was just a good meal, such as eggplant, tonpouro, tenfura, and tezushi sushi, and it was a meal that was not fun and tired of the eyes. The dining room was quiet and slow, whether it was still influenced by corona self-restraint or there were many overnight guests. I think it is good to visit in the autumn leaves season. However, since the main road to the hotel is steep and steep, it may be severe if there is no chain, of course, in winter. There is no convenience store nearby, and there is a vending machine, but it is a hotel price of 150 yen for can coffee. If you come from the Nakagaruizawa area, there is one convenience store, so you can use it. Smoking in the room was OK though the whole building was non-smoking.
