Great fun and an informative walk through stunning hilltop scenery. Topped by a delicious meal served on banana leaves. The plantation owner was a great host and the fish pedicure a special treat! We tasted spices, saw rubber trees being tapped, learned of the main harvests in the plantation and today's challenges for working these traditional methods. A cooling dip in the stream and entry to a very narrow cave to see the water source were added bonuses. Recommended for insight and fun.

It was like entering into some magical land. Lush green dense forest cover, gushing sounds of water streams and downpour of rains left us mesmerized. The host Mr. Ratnakar was very informative and guided us throughout the hiking. He went extra mile to keep it a fun engaging learning experience for both our kids.

We found out about Greenhills Thonikadavu as it was a stop on a day trip of the best of northern Kerala and indeed, what a fantastic, amazing place!!! It’s a huge private property with untouched vistas that I could never have imagined before that moment. We were taken on a walk with the owner, who had us smelling and tasting all the natural Ayurvedic plants. He also showed us how to make hats and bags from various plants and bamboo. Totally fun! As we walked, we crossed streams, tried to enter a narrow cave but got too claustrophobic though it was exciting till then, saw waterfalls and then got to swim in the biggest one and experience the pounding of the water. Spectacular! We took a rest with blue tea and bananas and then it was time to move on to the next place though we could hardly bear to leave. We hope to return and to stay at such a totally awesome property!

This place is really beautiful. Amazing plantation replete with fruits, flowers and spices. The area has plenty of waterfalls which one can dip into. Ratnakar is very knowledgeable and there's never a dull moment on the tour. To top it off, the lunch is magnificent, almost a sadhya spread which is tasty, to say the least. A trip to Greenhills is really worth it and it is places like these which bring to life the existing beauty of the area that is Thonikadavu. We'll visit again, hopefully with a larger group this time!

Homestay is good, and is of traditional architecture with all required modern facilities. Food is tasty. Farm and it's location are fabulous. Nair sir is a very good owner. We had enjoyed ourselves in the waterfalls inside the farm. Nair sir also made us traditional hats out of a part of coconut leaf/branch. He also gave us off-road jeep ride to payasini river bank.

Spent a morniong hiking this little green paradise. Mr Ratnakar, the owner and tour guide explained all the flora and fauna found in the plantation with many coconut and jack fruits, wild bananas etc. The plantation had many Ayrvedic herbs and plants. It was a hot and sultry day but a dip ion the watefalls was very relaxing. Great natural property with view of the adjoininmg hill range and the river. We had a very home cooked Sadya on plabntation leaf. on the way back, Mr Ratnakar even took us to witness a fold puja and dance to drive out evil spirits from the estate. Overall a great day in Nature and will recommend to any Nature lover to get a taste of wild beauty.

My father in law and I visited the plantation together. Ratnakar took us on an excellent tour of his family plantation. We got to visit the fish spa see the various agriculture grown like rubber, beetle nut, and pepper. Ratnakar was very knowledgeable and shared with us a lot of information about how different plants are grown and managed. We also went down to the river and took a small swim. I’m planning to come back here to stay at Ratnakars home stay and to do a long trek through the jungle. Thanks again Ratnakar for the wonderful and informative tour of your family’s plantation.

Worth every penny! We were lucky Mr. Ratnakaran had an empty slot as we enquired very last minute and yet got lucky to get an empty slot before we flew back. If you're looking to go into the countryside and experience a hike in a 100 acres forest with beautiful views across this is a must visit. It gives a balance to your relaxing Bekal experience and the waterfall is so serene and clear water. A nature lover must visit. Mr Ratnakaran's passion for the property is seen and his simplicity to explain everything and show us around his property was something that became one of the highlights of our trip. They also have home stay experience for some authentic Kerala stay in the forest.

For nature lovers this is a paradise. Mr. Ratnakar , the owner and tour guide is very friendly and takes us through the 100 Acre property in a fun way explaining all plants and trees . The highlight to the property is a tunnel which leads to a natural fresh water stream and a secluded waterfalls which absolutely fantastic.
