Aside from the size of the property and the villa , there is nothing impressive about this place at all we stayed there in Nov 2021 , and upon arrival the staff said our three bedroom villa is not ready yet to check in and we have to pay extra 300 dollar if we want to check in now , not a big deal at the time because it was worth the time since we arrived early in the morning and we didn't want to wait till 2 Pm so we paid the 300 dollars and kept waiting and asking for another 2 and half hours to go to the villa where it was almost 12 Pm already villa was barley cleaned , huge size , dirty and cold pool that you can never use breakfast and food is below average , so to conclude , we stayed there for 2 days and wanted to early leave , but they declined to refund the remaining nights , i said that i am going to talk about it on TripAdvisor , so they changed their mind and refunded the remaining nights , i also asked them to refund the 300 dollars they charged us and not even let us in the villa till 12 and they did it as well , so in general this hotel needs a lot of improvement and staff training .

We stayed at Moja Tuu in June'22 for 7 nights with my family, this was my 2nd visit. It was a marvellous stay!! The gardens & landscaping were even more mature and blossoming as compared to my last visit. I booked a 3 bedroom villa with a private infinity pool. The villas were very clean and well decorated rooms with fresh flowers. The living and dining areas were also very clean, and the villa was cleaned twice to thrice a day since we had travelled with kids. The linen and towels were soft & clean and we asked for extra towels which were availed to us at no extra cost, the mattress are just so perfect!. The infinity pool at the villa is facing the ocean, the ocean views are just out of this world, the beautiful sunrise\. My kids really enjoyed their time at this hotel, they have a new kids play area near the main pool which the kids loved it!There was always a hotel staff with the kids at the kids play area, the staff are extremely kind and helpful. The General Manager Mr.Amit Dhanda and the team goes out of their way to help, he helped us with our need to hire a car to drive around the island. He always kept checking that we were comfortable and needed anything. The food was delicious and fresh, they prepared Special meal for our kids, the local sea food is a must at this place, we booked a private dinner at our villa - a lobster and wine dinner, Amazing! There is free wi-fi also.Overall the stay was fantastic, would recommend it over and over again, mind you it is not a typical busy resort, it is a very private and quiet place, a retreat! Will come back soon, Keep up the great work and warm hospitality!!!

It was a pleasant and memorable experience, the hotel management and staff were organized, receptive and hospitable. Staffs are very polite, kind and helpful. Beautiful rooms and roof top terrace bar and restaurant with amazing sea view with cool breeze. It’s quite place with no noise around, kick back and unwind. It was beautiful to see amazing picture perfect view of Sunrise and Sunset from my room. They have beautiful bush/jungle trek path on the property itself which I never heard of it in any of the hotel have in Zanzibar and 1 of the day we had bush dinner with bone fire. I advise everyone this place, both for family vacations, couple vacations or individual.

We are a family of 5 and had always wanted to visit Zanzibar to explore the area better. We booked Moja Tuu for our family and we were extremely happy with the stay and services that were provided by the wonderful staff. The villa was absolutely gorgeous and the addition of the private pool turned out to be great for the family as we were able to make the most out of it by spending quality time together. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms as the rooms were more spacious than what we expected. The food was delicious and there were a wide range of options to choose from. The staff was very considerate and careful with their work. They behaved in a very friendly manner and made it a point to make everyone feel comfortable. Given the location, as it was close to all the tourist attractions, the price that we paid was definitely worth it. I recommended it to all my friends and relatives to book a stay there and have a first-rate experience at Zanzibar.

Don’t go to this place. Definitely not worth the hype and you will unhappy with the service provided. I dealt with inconveniences like the tv not working, the water being salty and the water pressure being extremely low in the shower, slow service and administrative errors. Cherry on top is the bill when I checked out being so high on costs that I was not told about prior to checking in (only disclosed upon check out) and being told that the stock market caused the extra charges despite having paid well in advance. On my request to recalculate the bill, the manager responses was so condescending and he was not will to assist in this manner at all. To the point that I could not leave the premises as the security was instructed keep me on the premises. Just to find out later after escalating the matter to the senior manager/owner that the charges are ridiculously high. No apologies from the manager what so. No compensation for holding me hostage or inconveniencing my trip for the delay was offered. Please try any other establishments, but this one will be a complete waste of your money.

Perfect stay with my Family We were welcomed by warm staff, with a fruity cool drink and a cold towel to cool us off after the drive from the airport. Villa with private pool was an amazing experience. The resort was very calm and can recommend to anyone who wants to have a peaceful time to yourselves, Moja tuu is one of the places to attain that has nature with beautiful garden throughout walkway to/from main are to your room. The staff was very friendly and available all the time. Room service was also quick. On request they also organize private dinner on terrace for our family. On behalf of me and my family we definitely recommend Moja Tuu if you are planning to visit Zanzibar! See you soon again :)

It felt like we were in two different hotels. The hotel clearly does not correspond to the declared level, it is very weak, it is not 4*, but 3 minus. The main pool has not been cleaned for a long time, it is all overgrown with greenery, no one swims in it, the platform is old, the stairs to the beach have fallen apart, the sun loungers look like they are 20 years old. Breakfast is also sad. There is no milk, no fruit, only eggs and everything is mixed up, and the cost is $15 per person. All the plumbing in the room is bad and old. The pool in the villa also needs updating, as do the tiles on the terrace. Everything is very neglected and sad. The view from the villa is the only plus.

Hotel to avoid absolutely! Nothing is wrong! We had booked for 5, bed for 4 my son spent the stay on a mattress on the floor… the excuse the hotel is full there is no more bed available and in addition we are told that we have to pay in addition ! The rooms are large but in a pitiful state. Stained toilet bowl, everything is patched up, salt water coming out of the taps, it makes you beg for toilet paper… 2 shower towels for 3… The swimming pool is not has no filtration, the deckchairs date from a distant era, the buffet is more than mediocre It looks like an abandoned hotel that has been taken over by charlatans... Avoid if you want to have a good vacation
