Room was clean.
Rooms in the new wing are brighter and more modern but you can hear the music from the disco pub next door. They run till very late in the weekends. If you are a light sleeper this might be a problem. Amenities in room is lesser than on the old wing.
Old wing rooms faces the main road. Comes with a balcony but don’t think anyone will sit there due to the dust and haze.
Last thing, Housekeeping didn’t really come clean on my missing items. But thanks to reception staff for checking. So make sure you double triple check the room before leaving. Overall it was a good stay.

Hôtel très bien situé, au cœur de Tamel, dans une belle demeure ancienne. Chambres avec beaucoup de charme, spacieuses, et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. le personnel est très accueillant On a beaucoup apprécié également l’excellent petit-déjeuner dans un cadre charmant.

Das Hotel hat für Nepal einen außergewöhnlich hohen Standard. Es ist sehr schön eingerichtet und die Zimmer sind liebevoll und individuell gestaltet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Das Hotel besteht aus zwei Flügeln. Ich habe in dem Flügel gewohnt, in dem die Zimmer um den Innenhof angeordnet sind. Diese waren für Nepal sehr ruhig. Lediglich das Essen ist ein wenig enttäuschend. Man versucht hier, westliches Essen anzubieten, es gelingt aber nicht wirklich. Das Frühstück besteht aus verkochten und vertrockneten warmen Gerichten. Auch die Backwaren sind trocken und nicht wirklich gut.

The hotel had an old world charm. Great introduction to Nepali hospitality and culture. Its in the vicinity of some clubs so expect music until late in the evening. It was also centrally located in the Thamel district, a couple of blocks away from Kathmandu Durbar Square
