(Kathmandu) After traveling to over 50 countries, I can confidently say that my stay at the Lakhey Hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu, stands out as the absolute best hotel experience I’ve ever had. WThe facilities are excellent: the rooms are large, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. However, the true magic lies in the service and the people. The owner and every staff member are genuinely amazing. They don't just offer friendly service; they treat you like family. This is authentic, personal care, not the ”fake friendly” experience you sometimes get elsewhere. They Solve Everything: All my questions were answered, and every requirement was met. Critically, when I encountered major problems with my jeep transport and my flight to Lukla, the owner personally stepped in and resolved everything efficiently. He is resourceful, incredibly knowledgeable about all the local hikes and travel in Nepal, and his Chinese language skills are remarkable. The location is perfect—it's right in Thamel but located on a very quiet side street, guaranteeing a peaceful night's sleep. The food is also outstanding, with a different, amazing breakfast served every single day. I am now heading off on my hike, but I am already looking forward to my return stay. Thank you for taking such exceptionally good care of me!"

"Everything was great apart from a little bit of construction noise in the early days. Great location in Tamel, on a quiet street away from the noise of the city. The staff were as friendly and friendly as possible and responded to any request. Free airport transfer is a convenient addition to stay at this hotel. Breakfasts are not very diverse, but satisfying, however, I did not have enough vegetables. Hotel manager Sachin arranged for us the mountain flight at a cost lower than the travel agencies and even the airline itself offered, with transfers from the hotel and back after flight. Great place for this cost. Thanks!"

"A brand new hotel with all kind of comfortable fertilities to make you staying easy and chill. Great location, sitting between the airport and the Pashupatinath Temple, both in 10 mins walk. It’s not far from the main road but also very quiet. I would stay here again next time."

"The staff is very accommodating. They even change our room because my hair dryer doesn’t work with the outlet. So they moved us to the higher floor that have a built in hair dryer. The service is good the food also is good. And the place is infront the airport very accessible to everything. It is not the standard type of cleanliness of the room but it is reasonable with the price. I think the price is very cheap."
