The owner was incredibly kind and upgraded my room for free. The room was quite spacious, the bed was soft, and everything was very clean. The rooftop bar/restaurant was very chill. The wife fell ill on the day of entering, so she borrowed a thermometer at the front desk and asked if she needed medicine, including headache medicine and anti-fever medicine. I left before I had time for breakfast. I don't know what happened. The first day in Kathmandu was very satisfied."

"I stayed here for 4 nights on my first trip to Nepal. It's about a 20-minute drive from the airport. The room was clean, and the air conditioning made it very comfortable. The toilet was Western-style, and there was plenty of hot water. There's a Japanese-speaking staff member at the front desk. All the front desk staff were very kind, and I felt like I was visiting relatives. Breakfast was abundant, and the masala tea was delicious. There's a cafe directly opposite the hotel that serves a delicious cafe latte (around 200 yen). There are also plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and currency exchange shops nearby, which was very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel."

As soon as I stepped out of the hotel, I found a good currency exchange, so I converted all my money and returned home safely. Breakfast was simple and fairly standard, without a huge variety of choices, but everything was fresh and enjoyable. The yogurt, in particular, was excellent and definitely worth trying. There was only one minor issue in my room: the ceiling fan seemed to run at the same speed regardless of the setting, so even the lowest level felt quite strong. I never mentioned it to the front desk because it was not a major inconvenience. The biggest area for improvement would be the Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately, the signal was quite weak and unreliable, especially for anyone who needs a stable internet connection for work or communication. Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The beautiful traditional design, eco-conscious concept, relaxing atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality more than made up for the small inconveniences. "I would rebook this hotel in a heartbeat. It was situated in the heart of Thamel, which is known as a backpacker district, but it did not have that feel at all. It was very isolated from the main road and was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, just what I needed. It is located within walking distance of some tourist things and easily accessible on a motorbike to get to others. There are a lot of good restaurants offering local cuisine nearby as well which was great. It is the perfect location to destress and unwind in the evening."
