GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located and the room had a nice traditional design. However, I encountered a strong smell in the room, which made my stay uncomfortable. I burned incense to improve the air, which unexpectedly led to a dispute with the hotel about compensation.
The amount they requested was surprisingly high and difficult for me to understand. Eventually, the issue was resolved through the booking platform, but the experience was stressful and not something I expected on my trip. I hope the hotel can handle such situations with more flexibility and understanding in the future

Ddjazmy12Very good location, right in the centre of Thamel, close to eateries, cafes, convenience shops and even pharmacies.
Breakfast was repetitive but good, especially the cheese and omelette station. Vegetarian friendly as well.
Airport transfer was good as well, really the best from my experience.
Service is tip top, will try to give you anything you requested, even laundry.
Definitely will go here again!

GGuest UserI had an incredible stay and extended two more nights. The GM and the staff are super helpful and customer oriented. Room is spacious. Morning yoga is included and the male yoga teacher is phenomenal. The yoga practice is inside the monastery. The location is another advantage. It’s walking distance to the Boudha Stupa which allows me to walk there a few times a day. At the same time, it’s in a quiet dead end. Lastly, it could be helpful for some who wish to disconnect digitally because wifi doesn’t work too well . There’s only one server located near the staircase in my building. If your room is far away from it, the signal is obviously problematic.

BBabymichongIt's a budget alternative to the hotel I love. I stayed one night and was particularly struck by how incredibly cold the electric fan was. The hotel is definitely worth experiencing; it's very Nepalese. Although old, it's very clean.

The building has a lot of history , and its features are well preserved. The rooms are clean and tight. Loved the freshness of diner and same counts for breakfast!
The Nepali local coffee in the French press was tasty.
The staff is wonderful and well mannered ! A true delight to stay here !

GGuest UserThe location is good. You can go shopping downstairs. It is not far from the airport (Nepal's transportation is not that fast, so it takes about half an hour). It is a very good hotel for the local area, equivalent to the domestic Four Seasons or Kaiyuan Hotel

GGuest UserThe room and area was good, but I experienced a scam provided by the receptionist.
I have consulted the tour advice with the reception, the guy provided me an excellent two-day rafting package that called by a tourist agent.
In the tour, that was a disaster, the tour only half-day with 1/3 distance of his presented tour.
The cost he charged me is almost 5 times of the normal price in internet. I would prefer that should be a very special tour and different from I found in internet.
That was totally scam and waste my time and money, it was extremely affect my plan and mood. I would report this experience to the concerned parties. It really a shame of Nepalese.

NN SolA great hotel in the heart of the Thamel district. Both the rooms and common areas are decorated in a national style, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The panoramic restaurant on the 7th floor is fantastic – delicious food with a diverse breakfast buffet and an extensive menu for other meals, including both local and European dishes. The hotel also has a very good spa, though it doesn't operate late into the evening. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable.
