I really like small and boutique hotels like Kumari. The location is very good, right in the Thamel Pedestrian Street, with many food options around. The room is clean and beautiful, the bed is very comfortable, and the front desk is very warm and friendly. They greet you every time you go out and come back.

I stayed there for 3 nights by myself. All the staff are very hospitable. The room is spacious and the amenities are toothbrush, shampoo, body wash, soap, shower cap, shower and room slippers, hair dryer. The room is kept very clean and even the often dirty areas such as shower curtains and bed footrests are well taken care of. The breakfast is delicious, with fresh juices and Nepalese food. The waiters are always happy to ask if you need anything. They also have room service until 8pm. It is not far from the Durbar, and there are many restaurants and shops around that are open until 8pm. (I don't know what's open beyond that) I would like to stay here again.

I asked for a pick-up from the airport. It was $12. Someone who wasn't a driver carried my luggage without my permission and asked for a tip, but it has nothing to do with the hotel. The owner looks scary, but he helps me in many ways. He is a hard worker. If you can't have breakfast because it's too early in the morning, you can take out two small cupcakes, an apple, boiled rice*, and a juice carton.

I love this hotel! The staff are so friendly - especially the lovely lady behind the front desk who was so kind and chatty. It was lovely to talk with her and she made me feel very at home. Beside, the breakfast is excellent and the bed is super comfy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat in Kathmandu - couldn’t recommend this hotel more

Lovely hotel on a quiet street in Thamel but close to the busy streets. The rooms were comfy and clean, and the staff were soooo lovely! The aircon with heating was much appreciated in winter
