Excellent friendly staff, reasonable prices, clean and spacy rooms. Deepqk and Babu took great care of us and any visitor we saw. They were also extremely helpful in organizing our plane tickets to Lukla, arranged transport from and to the airport free of charge and offered to hook us up with a guide service in the mountains.

Das Andes House liegt ruhig und gemütlich im geschäftigen Thamel Viertel. Geschäfte und Attraktionen sind fußläufig erreichbar, es gibt tausende Restaurants mit sehr gutem Essen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Räume und Badezimmer sind sauber und gemütlich. Bei Fragen sind die Jungs, die das Andes House Betreiben immer ansprechbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Bei Bedarf organisieren sie Transport, Geldwechsel, Wäsche, Trekking Ausflüge… Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm und entspannt, ich komme gerne wieder!

There are discriminatory towards Indians, they will treat you and yell at you. Why is this even a hotel? They give rooms to couples for a few hours. They sell ****. Criminal place. They will tell Indians to get out of the hotel as they know that you are there under a package by a tourist company and not directly hired the hotel.

Despite being in a good location, there is a lack of care for cleaning and maintenance of the building. Dirty bathrooms, mold in the rooms, stained sheets. In my colleague's room, the previous guest's bed was not even changed. Limited hot water. They organize the tours, but there was a lack of transparency in the negotiations, trying to trick us and taking advantage all the time, they changed the line all the time. That part was what bothered me the most. The "don't worry" thing could be a sign of stalling. There are certainly better options in Thamel. I booked through the booking platform, but I can't review it on the site itself for some "mysterious" reason. If you don't care about cleanliness, go ahead.

After 5 years I returned to the Andes House and for me it was still as good as the first time I visited this place. Good rooms for an affordable price with breakfast included. Friendly and helpfull hosts, hot shower and good internet speed inside the rooms (ask which router you have to use). Located in a quiet neighborhood, but just move a few steps and you will be in Thamel. Recommended!

Very well placed north of Thamel. Discreetly set back from busy streets so relatively quiet. Nice garden. Owner very nice and rigorous. Very bright "deluxe" room. Excellent double bed. Own. Nepalese bathroom with western toilets. Very good base camp for Kathmandu

Friendly administration, easy to check in and out. Breakfast was nice, the dog there was very friendly too. Room was in fantastic condition too, definitely recommend it. Great location too, right in the centre of the city

Andes house was great! The rooms were clean, showers hot and breakfast tasty. We got to hang out with Deepak and Putsi the dog. Deepak was super helpful with recommendations and booking taxis/bus. Come stay here!
