A well-maintained hotel with a classic Kathmandu feel. The swimming pool is smaller than expected, but it was fine for a day's stay. However, don't ask for a taxi at the hotel counter. The fare is tripled. I don't know if the taxi driver gave money to the front desk staff, but I asked for 800 rupees to go to a place less than 5 minutes away. I trusted the hotel and called a taxi, but I don't understand why you ask a ridiculous price for a guest. Breakfast was better than expected

An old 5-star hotel in Nepal with good service. But the facilities and sanitation are not up to date, the air conditioner is old, and the bathroom bathtub doesn't look too clean. Breakfast is also very average. It was a very special experience to encounter a Nepalese wedding. The yard of his house is quite large and comfortable, and the swimming pool can be used.

The appearance is very beautiful, but unfortunately the room is small and old. The bed in the standard room is one meter long, and the bed sheets and bath towels are all black. After staying for one night, I changed the hotel immediately the next day

The hotel feels good overall. I don't know if it's because of the weather, but the room always feels a bit damp. The hotel needs to walk more than 10 minutes from Tamil. There is a swimming pool, but it is not used. The hotel waiters are pretty good, especially the uncle doorman who salutes every time. Still more recommended.

I always enjoy staying at Shanker hotel. It’s a quiet oasis in Kathmandu. The staff are all excellent and extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel has character. Looking forward already to my next visit!
