Not clean, very dirty place, need to clean and wash the house.

It is for budget traveler..small room stay for 2 person....

I have stayed in many places in Nepal. This one feels good. The service is very good. The location is very good. The hotel is very fast. The hot water is very good. The WiFi is really fast. I recommend friends to come and stay.

Overall it's pretty good, the discounts are substantial, and the rest is acceptable.

Everyone, please don’t go anywhere to stay. When we arrived at the destination, he said there were no rooms and we needed to add 600 yuan to arrange it. When I checked out on the second day, I needed to add 600 yuan. I said I didn’t have the money.

I think it's pretty good. The big brother at the front desk is a nice guy, but everyone has different requirements for the environment. I'm just talking about backpackers.

Basic rooms and facilities, but fully consistent with the price paid. Fair value for money! The staff is very welcoming, available and kind :)

Family Peace guesthouse is a great base to call home just outside of Thamel. The rooms are very basic, but are clean and have good amenities including hot water and a good laundry service. But the real USP is the friendliness and helpful nature of Bimal, Hemraj and the team who run it, as they go out of their way to make sure you have a good time, and have access to the best that Kathmandu has to offer. Their advice on where to go, what to do, and the support in making this happen through booking taxis or advising on entry costs etc helped make this an incredible trip for me. Don't expect luxury when going to Family Peace House, but expect an affordable home away from home.

First I must say that I believe that most reviews that state 5 out of 5, are fabricated through the owner to lift up the overall review rate. The hotel, the rooms, are in such a dilapidated state, that to give more then 4 stars is just imposible. First I was in room 301. Matras quality : 2 of 10 You can feel the hard wooden board through the old foam matras, not nice…. Bathroom, very bad. The showerhead releases allmost no water, as it is blocked with ???? the amount of warm water is minimal. First bathroom, I encountered in Nepal, with no waterhose to clean your bum. Fixtures leaking in all kind of places. Quality off bathroom : 1 of 10 Overall cleanliness: 2 of 10 Maintanance of room : 1 of 10 Some glas in windows are broken. I had to ask for a shelf to put my things on, otherwise I had to put all my stuff on the floor. The only really good thing was the fan. It was new. Then I was moved to room 303. Matras quality : 6 of 10 reasonable to sleep upon. Bathroom, I had to punture most of the holes in the showerhead, as it was blocked with calcined lime. Fungus on the wall, un unhealthy thing.. 4 of my 6 days staying there I had no hot water, as this room is connected to a different system. Quality off bathroom : 2 of 10 The fan is old and not in proper working order, it should be replaced. Overall cleanliness: 2 of 10 Maintanance of room 2 of 10 The owner tries to be helpfull, that is the truth, but with an infrastucture that is to old, and not well maintained, it is of little use to your comfort. It looks like since it was opened, there has been not any maintanance of the hotel. It seems the owner is only interested in money coming in, and as little as possible going out for repairing things, that need reparing. The good thing here was the wi-fi : 10 of 10 Really fast internet. Also there is a water filtering machine, where you can fill your waterbottle. A cup of bad Nescafé coffe cost here 100NLR. 500M. further you find a good capucino made trough an Italian machine for 130NLR. The kitchen is below cleanliness criterion, avoid it.

One of The staff asked me for additional cash for the booking. Saying that price is higher then what expidia charged.

The staff was very helpful answering any questions they were also very kind. Great place to stay good price nice rooms.
