Zostel Kathmandu

A disappointing stay. Slightly grotty hostel with no real atmosphere. Very poor common spaces and atmosphere means next to no mingling or socialising. Inflexible about the advance payment if you have to change your plans, even with many days' notice. Shares a restaurant with the neighbouring hostel, Flock, which is the only redeeming feature. I spent most of my time hanging around that much nicer property. Next time I'll stay there.

I'm just loving to stay here at K**! The facilities they have and the customer services team are truly friendly! They are always be there for you when you needed any help. Reception staff as well as restaurant and rooftop bakery staffs are very much polite and respectful. I'm enjoying here and will visit again whenever in Kathmandu.

Upfront communication (we landed in the middle of the night and needed to make sure we can check in at that time) was really difficult since they didn’t respond to e-Mails or WhatsApp. Our airport pick-up wasn’t there when we arrived. The room was ok but very loud since it was facing a small alley with the kitchen and staff room of the adjacent restaurant. There’s lots of construction going on at the moment so some facilities like the roof top were closed which wasn’t really communicated. When we came back from our trek they didn’t find our room reservation. Overall, a rather disappointing experience. On the plus side, check in at 3 am was not a problem (we paid for that night), the location is good and the restaurant is too.

Me and my friend stayed in Zostel Kathmandu for a week, the accommodation there was pretty decent and the overall atmosphere was very nice. The staff working here is very friendly and helpful.. I look forward to coming back to zostel when I return to Nepal. 🇳🇵🇮🇳Lots of love from India

Very friendly vibes just feels like home away from home. Food they serve is amazing. Housekeeping ladies are so good they clean the place all the time. Also they have inhouse travel desk where you can arrange various treks and other stuff. Staff are very helpful they always have answer for your question.. Definitely recommend this place.
