DO NOT BOOK a family room here! Arrived in the pouring rain to a room that was meant to have double bed and 2 singles for a family of 4 and ended up with a tiny little box of a room with one double bed. When reception was contacted they blamed it on the booking agent AGODA! Kids had to sleep on blankets on the floor! Waste of money!

Everything was good, better yet if the price is considered, but the room (22) smelled like pee and that is unacceptable. The room seems cleaner in the pictures they post. Staff was very attentive, the highway noise is loud, but it’s a highway motel so, no complaint on that.

Stayed in this hotel for one night. Yes it was a decent price but you really do get what you pay for. The room was very tired and urgently needs redecorated. Housekeeping could be much better as it was quite unclean too. The carpet hadn’t been vacuumed for a while. There was hair, fluff and dust all over it. The bathroom was horrendous. After checking in, the bathroom was absolutely soaking with condensation and it was like that the whole time, even with the heating on. When I said heating, I mean a massive box on wall that is so noisy, won’t change temperature or fan speed and blows just lukewarm air. The traffic noise was quite bad all through the night, so not a lot of sleep was had. Positives was the electric blanket on the bed and plenty parking outside. Unfortunately I won’t stay there again.

We made a reservation through Agoda. Reservation was easy and credit card was immediately charged 2 Room Aus$320 in total. Booking ID 887185349. The reservation was confirmed. Check in Feb 11 check out Feb 12. Then when we arrived at the hotel on a Saturday the reception was closed and details for check in was written at the door. We then tried for perhaps 1 hour to check in. We called the number given on the door. We called several times. Every time the call was simply disconnected. the person on the other side picked up the phone and simply hang up again. We tried what ever possible and where not able to check in. As a result we where forced to look for another room after 6 pm in Katooba, which took another two hours as most hotels where fully booked. A few days later I received a e-mail from the Blue Mountain resort asking us to return the keys. I immediately replayed and explained our experience. At the same time we ask for a refund. Never received an answer. We also tried to contact Agoda many time for assistance. Unfortunately it was not possible

Found the facilities advertised not really match the reality. Inside the room there is no wifi, no tissue box, no shower curtain, dirty fridge, kettle handle was sticky that need to clean before use, dirty carpet, bed linens with stains, pillows case and bedsheets were fine, blankets seems dusty and dirty that I didn’t use them, no internal phone to the reception, only 2 plastic clothes hanger, non-stop traffic noise as windows and door have no sound insulation in place at all. Sorry I won’t come back.

The name has changed -Blue Mountains Highway Motel, KATOOMBA. The photos do not represent the motel as it has considerably aged probably in the last two years of no travel !! The rooms are clean and tidy but the toilet needs upgrading and better housekeeping.

The motel location is along the highway just at the entrance towards the town. The motel is 2 storey, they gave us a free upgrade for 1 of the room which is nice. The wifi is not very stable as it connect and disconnected quite often. The room overall is OK and bed is comfy, toilet is a bit small though.

So what I was looking for was a nice little place to sleep with the family. 3 and a half stars should be just fine. When we arrived, staff were friendly and helpful. But unfortunately the state of the room was in a bit of disrepair (as per my photos). Main door looked like it was starting to disintegrate from ?water damage, as was the entertainment unit. The fridge was a bit banged up and the plug had been "fixed" with tape and silicone. And the reverse cycle air conditioner - wasn't reverse cycle (no matter what heat setting it was put on). Arrived on a cold, wet day - and the A/C just made it colder. Was warmer to leave it off. The kitchen/ bathroom-ish combo was something I hadn't seen before - but not a deal breaker. And the bed eventually sagged during the night (combined weight of partner and I approximately 170kg). There was also the issue of noise - good thing the kids were tired, with continual heavy vehicle noise coming from the front, and trains to the rear. But I could hardly say that was their fault - Just something to be aware of if staying there. Towels were nice and fluffy and there was hot water. I don't usually ask for much, but I'd happily give this place more of a 2 and a half stars.

It’s a tired motel but for $110 a night I wasn’t expecting a lot. Pros- heater, electric blanket, decent shower pressure, microwave, fridge, self check in and out is simple, the price Cons- location isn’t close to anything and lots of highway noise, bathroom is tinnnny and very hard to move in, wifi connection wasn’t strong enough to work, parking is free but there was scaffolding taking up three spaces outside our room so we had no where to park and had to wait until someone left to take their park as spaces are limited, very dimly lit room
