"In June, we spent two weeks traveling Australia. The Chalet Guesthouse was our favorite stay. David goes out of his way to make sure that everyone is comfortable. After a long day of hiking the Blue Mountains, it was such a pleasure to sit by the fireplace and enjoy the comforts of the guesthouse. Each morning, as we ate breakfast in our dining room, beautiful tropical birds ate their bird seed right on the ledge of the dining room window. It was wonderful. I highly recommend a stay at the Chalet Guesthouse."

Kurrara Historic Guest House

"We stayed at Kurrara Hotel Guesthouse as a last-minute booking due to limited availability, but it ended up being a really enjoyable stay. One of the highlights was learning about the history of the property when we arrived, including its origins as a retreat and recovery place for visitors from Sydney. That historical charm gave the stay a unique atmosphere. The guesthouse had several quiet lounge and sitting areas to relax in, which added to the experience, although we only stayed one night and had limited time to fully enjoy everything before checkout. A major bonus for us was the EV charging station, which made travelling with our electric car much easier. The location was also very convenient — around a 10-minute walk to the Three Sisters lookout area and another short walk into town for dinner and cafes. Breakfast was simple but good, although quite busy since the hotel was full and breakfast was only served during a short time window. Overall, it was a peaceful and comfortable stay, and we would definitely consider staying there again."

"Close to the station, less than 5 minutes walk◎ The bus stop that goes to the Blue Mountains is right in front of you. It's best to get on at the station one stop before, as there aren't many people who can get on the train. No hairdryer or tissues provided. The hotel check-in counter is now a restaurant. It was a little confusing at the checkout. For dinner, I went shopping at the supermarket and was able to get a fork and knife at a restaurant."

"The location is good, and parking is easy. The room is clean, but the only issue is the cold—the heating isn’t strong enough for a high-ceilinged room."

"Very disappointing stay, especially because of an unauthorised extra charge. I was told that $1 would be charged to verify my card, but $2 was actually taken as a deposit, which has still not been refunded after checkout. More seriously, the property charged me another $38 without my authorisation, claiming it was for a campfire activity at $19 per person. We never booked or used the campfire. There was heavy rain and strong wind that night, and I have photos/videos documenting the conditions. I called the property multiple times after checkout. Staff acknowledged that the $38 charge was an internal error and promised a refund, but I still have not received it. My bank transaction has now changed from pending to completed. The listing also advertised facilities such as a microwave, but there was no microwave. I had purchased around $60 worth of ready-to-eat food that I could no longer use and had to throw away. The accommodation itself was also very uncomfortable. The bedding caused persistent itching, and the caravan constantly shook in the strong wind. I woke up seven times during the night and could barely sleep. I will upload photos and evidence from the stay so others can judge for themselves. There are better accommodation options nearby.
