This hotel was fairly close to the airport so that was good. Check in took some time but the staff were friendly. The rooms are all pretty similar in terms of layout but differ in terms on floor and views. It was a modern looking hotel with modern rooms. The rooms were clean containing a large bed with bedside tables either side, somewhere to place the suitcase. A large flatscreen television, and table area with a chair. There was a minifridge and safe. Closet for clothes and hangers. The bathroom was modern but very compact, with an overhead shower over a narrow bath. There is a balcony, but this doesn’t have a light to sit outside in the evening. The grounds are well maintained and do have steps to get around, but that’s expected as the Island is hilly/rocky overall. There is a small private beach area with about 50 sunbeds and the beach is stoney but with calmer waters. The water does get deeper quicker than the public beach which is just on the other side and less stoney (sandier). There is a pool with about 100 sunbeds around the pool and nearby, (mixture of beds and bean bag beds). There is a small fitness room for 2 people at a time, which you have to book. It proved difficult to book at times although no one was using it. They do need to add towels and things to wipe the equipment down which was missing. You could walk to the small Mina/Express supermarkets using the back of the hotel and staying off the main road (about 10m walk). The restaurant is the one area that would benefit from improvements. There is a range of foods for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast has toast, cereal, fruits, and other warm foods. Dinner has salads, pasta, fruits and other warm foods. The non-veg/vegetarian/vegan were all located together and there were not enough serving spoons so everything was being contaminated (eg. meats and cheeses at breakfast - salads at dinner). Staff advised that they could not control what guests did, which is understandable, but they could control the environment by easily grouping the vegetarian/vegan dishes separately. This was a common complaint with other guests that had dietary requirements. The food got repetitive for a 10 day (or even 7 day) stay. A different theme with fresh stations would be a good idea e.g. Mexican, Indian, Italian etc. on different days which could cater for non veg/veg and vegan – this could be easily done. We experienced some issues and raised these, some were resolved and others not. Management was not really seen around or approaching guests. The guests seemed to be significantly over 50 and British. Overall it was a really nice modern hotel and one of the better ones located at the lower end of the island (south – where the sandy beaches tend to be too). The location is great and close to the beach and supermarket with great views. Staff were all friendly too. Some trees do block some of the views for sea view rooms, but not really an issue. We visited during the off-peak, so not sure how it would c
