To our room well it was beyond superb, the swim up pool, and we really ever wanted so it’s a big thank you for our fab room coordinator dinesh - you rock!!!! I would highly recommend you need transportation as it’s quite remote but also hugely accessible if you live a good walk to the beach or restaurant x On the whole the breakfast, lunch and dinner we experienced was 10/10. "The hotel has a great location, not far from the beach, and plenty of restaurants nearby. There's a small supermarket to the right of the hotel entrance where you can buy yogurt and other similar items. Behind the hotel is a commercial street where you can shop, but the shop owners are quite casual, and some close very early. The room has a small balcony, not too big or too small. The only drawback is the poorly designed bathroom; the shower is too small, and the toilet paper isn't even next to the toilet! You can arrange airport or ferry pick-up through the hotel on Ctrip, but this will incur an additional fee."

"We were very disappointed with our recent 1 night stay at this hotel. We booked a classic room promising personal concierge service, early/late check in, and welcome treat. The initial receptionist ( lady with long dark hair) was lovely and helpful and promised our room would be ready for 1pm -- we had to wait until nearly 2pm for the room. We didnt receive a welcome treat (or was that meant to be the 'welcome drink' that we did get) and we saw no sign of our personal concierge. The room was comfortable enough - it was small though and the balcony was tiny (although it had a lovely view over the main town square). There was no hairdryer in the room -- we mentioned this to reception and the male receptionist was a bit offhand and advised we ahould have called him and he would have made a hairdryer available ---- well the cleaner should have checked that the room had the hairdryer in the allocated wardrobe drawer before declaring that the room was ready for us! We were disappointed that there was no coffee/tea making facilities in the room -- although to be fair the availability of these facilities was not included in the room description. The safety deposit box was completely out of reach on top of the built in wardrobe -- useless......I mentioned this to the male receptionist, who suggested we should 'climb' (presumably using the single cfhair in the room) to get access!). Not wonderful health and safety!!! There were 3 steps by the main entrance to the hotel - this made it difficult for anybody with large suitcases......there appeared to be no 'accessible' hotel entrance. Breakfast was just about acceptable -- usual half cold bacon, cocktail sausages and eggs in buffet style and continental choices (cold meats, cheese etc). Nice pastries and the coffee was remarkably good coming from a machine! All in all -- disappointing for the money we paid. This was our second visit to this hotel --- we probably would stay there again if only for its location in Argostoli."

Only a short walk to the beach which was great. This was our 20th year in Katelios and I think I can say it was the lost relaxed stay we have had. We booked the same apartment for next year before we came home!"

"A very pleasant surprise small hotel closed to Sami with only 5-10 mins drive by car off course. Very clean and well maintained room that includes all the amenities. Spacious with plenty space to either hung your clothes or keep them in the draws. Nice small veranda facing the swimming pool that includes also table with chairs. Lot of parking spaces and only few steps fm the apartment entrance. Amazing pool area with combination of the restaurant you can spend your day with out anything to worry.. food was nice , especially the pizzas on the wooden oven were amazing. Management always around and try with any means to make you feel like home. Definitely we are going back next time we are in Kefalonia again."

"The owner of this store is really very good. It rained when we left on the second morning. He also drove us to the port specially, and we didn’t want to give him money, and he sent us two packs of snacks before leaving. It's really special, so I must give him a call in this room. We found this hotel because the boat was cancelled and stayed at the port for one night, the room was very good, we were assigned to a room on the roof. Family standard apartment, can live for 4 people, and there are three large balconies, especially happy 🥰 In the morning, listening to the sound of the river flowing, looking at the sea in the distance, it is very pleasant, and there is an induction cooker and refrigerator in the room and an oven. We also baked a pizza, If you want to catch the boat early on the second day, it is recommended to live here, and at the beach, this town can also buy things."

"We've just returned from our Kefalonia holiday. We stayed at Panorama Fanari and had a brilliant time. The place is located in a pleasant remote area away from any hustle and bustle. The room we had, had a balcony at each end so we could get the sunrise and sunset. Also if we opened both sets of sliding doors we could get a pleasant airflow through the room. The room itself, was spacious and had everything we needed. It also had a small kitchenette with helpful items left in the cupboards. The shower room was a bit small but adequate and had a decent walk in shower with a sliding door. The main balcony view was superb with the hotel gardens immediate, over the road and down the hill was land with olive trees. We could see the whole area across to the sea and nearby lighthouse in the distance. The best bit was the view across the bay where all the ferries were constantly crossing and the odd cruise ship passing through. The sunset view every evening was the best I've experienced anywhere. The carpark had plenty of spaces and many in the shade. I noticed an electrical charging point. The pool area was lovely with plenty of sunbeds and a pleasant shower area. There was also a bar and seating area nearby which was staffed during daylight hours. The breakfast buffet was continental with plenty of variety. The staff were all friendly, helpful and spoke English. If there was anything we needed, they obliged. Also they were able to assist with car hire with a car arriving in the car park shortly after we enquired. The grounds were well kept and pleasant to walk around. There was a patio area with a large garden table and chairs and two comfortable swing seats in the shade of a large pear tree. We could have sat here all day watching the bay and all the bees and butterflies on the surrounding plants. There were several friendly cats who came to see us when we were walking in the grounds. The location was a little remote but not overly so. There are a few cove beaches within walking distance and the campsite Taverna. Argostoli was a pleasant 3km walk one way but shorter if you walk to the top of the hill, past the Italian memorial and down the other side. With a car you can get to Argostoli or Lassi in a few minutes. We had a lovely stay from not quite knowing what to expect on arrival. "

"We stayed at the hotel for 12 nights with a couple of friends. My wife and I had room 304 which is a very large room with a balcony - side sea view. The room is great and very comfortable. Has a mini fridge, safe, coffee maker with capsules and kettle etc. Very comfortable bed. The hotels location is perfect - a few meters in a side alley of the promenade. Many cafes, shops and restaurants 3 minutes walk away and so are the beautiful turtles. We rented a car and always found parking on the promenade even if we had to wait 5 minutes for a space. The breakfast is not large but you actually have all that you want/need including eggs made to order. The hotel has a spa which my wife used. The receptionists Georgia and Lilia are very kind and helpful and so is the entire staff. Recommended! If we ever return to beautiful Kefalonia we will no doubt stay here again."

"Location was too far from anywhere. Food was not good. Went half board but had to eat out on an evening. .Taxi's from hotel 20 euros to a decent restaurant. Dining room had stray cats wandering around and guests feeding them..cat food placed in hotel crockery. Tables just wiped over with an old bit of ripped towelling..no disinfectant spray. Rude unfriendly staff. Pool was okay but unable to move beds around. DEFINITELY not a 4 star hotel. Would not return."

The location in Lassi is ideal: walking distance to tavernas and restaurants, and just a few minutes from Makris Gialos and Platis Gialos beaches. "Our stay at Tetra Kefalonia was exceptional from beginning to end. It is not the most expensive hotel on the island, but it offers outstanding value for money. The rooms with private pools and sea views are beautifully designed, tastefully furnished, and the perfect size. They were cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided for both the pool and the shower. The hotel itself is elegant, peaceful, and run by genuinely warm and welcoming staff. We were greeted personally by the hotel manager on arrival, who congratulated me on my recent achievement, which was the reason for our trip. It created an excellent first impression. He checked in with us every day to make sure everything was exactly as we needed, and we were delighted to find that we had been upgraded to a room with a much better view. The rest of the team were just as attentive. When we enquired about hiring a car, the receptionist returned with several options and helpful local advice. She even made all the arrangements for us. I would highly recommend hiring a car during your stay, as we completed a full lap of the island and it was one of the highlights of our visit. Although the hotel had some ongoing building work, it was completely out of the way and caused no disturbance at all. We only knew about it because the manager mentioned it. The atmosphere remained quiet, calm, and incredibly relaxing throughout our stay. The main pool area was stylish, comfortable, and a lovely place to unwind during the day. Overall, this was a five‑star stay in every respect. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a truly memorable experience. I would recommend Tetra Kefalonia without hesitation."

"Nice, clean, friendly staff. My wife and I liked the hotel and location. My major complaint would be that each room is allowed only “one” key to ensure that you don’t run AC when out of the room. You have to insert the key in a control device when you enter to allow AC, lights, and TV to operate. At first it didn’t seem like that big of a problem, but when my wife and I chose to go separate ways and didn’t return the same time. The early person was forced to wait in the lobby for the other to return. You could not enter your room! Tried asking the lobby staff to let me in… after a wait was let in my room, but no second card was given. So, was forced to sit in a room without AC or electricity! This was very frustrating. Not the 4 star service one would hope for!"

"The hotel is beautiful, we stayed in a gorgeous villa with a private pool which was immaculate and reading other reviews was expecting out of date decor, but it’s gorgeous and traditional! The view is unbelievable, I can’t put into words how stunning it was ❤️ THE STAFF I have never experienced service like it; they were just wonderful! Couldn’t do enough for you and everything felt so genuine. Thank you so much to all the incredible people who work there for making our stay so special. It is a steep trek up to the hotel but you can take your time and I would suggest doing the stairs and taking a break at the pool bar to have a delicious cocktail to break up the walk. Would highly recommend this hotel and the town it’s set in was incredible too. Didn’t have one bad meal or experience anything but wonderful service anywhere we went ❤️"

"We stayed for 3 nights after having to move from our previous accommodation in Lassi . The staff are all very helpful. Our room was on the ground floor and was very spacious even if a little dark, with Molton Brown shower facilities. The breakfast area was outside and not very big hence the reason you have to pre-order the night before, also the time you would like it. Most of the tables were in the sun, unless you were lucky to get 2 of the tables that were in the shade , and in June when we were there it did get a bit too hot and butter was melting before we could use it ! There was nowhere inside to have breakfast which we would have preferred. The pool was a square large bath, in the shade , you could just cool down in it , but not for swimming , which we didn’t use. The hotel would be ok to use as a base for exploring Kefalonia if you have not been to the island before and possibly only for a short break."

"Staff were super nice! Location is kinda far from the main cities but that’s why they have so much on property to do. Purpose is to stay at resort and use amenities. Beautiful resort and our room was perfect for our honeymoon plus amazing views. We love paddle boarding and paddled every day we were there since it was included in our stay. We also had a couples massage at spa which was amazing. Food on property is delicious especially breakfast. Drinks and snacks at pool were great and affordably priced which is rare at 5 star hotels. I highly recommend!"

"We have just returned from another fantastic 14 days at this beautiful resort. Our 10th consecutive year at Avithos and it continues to offer a quality service. The staff are the key, Christina runs the show from reception with a friendly smile and helpful advice at every opportunity. The cleaning team are excellent, our room was always spotless after their daily visit. Claudia was a brilliant host at breakfast with an excellent variety of food and drinks. The maintenance team work very hard to keep the beautiful grounds in excellent condition. As some have commented, bar prices are higher than can be found at some local tavernas, but we have no issue paying a little extra for the quality surroundings in which we drink a very cold beer or a cocktail. A recent review suggested the resort had a “identity crisis”, but this is nonsense. Avithos Resort has been satisfying a mix of couples and families for more than 20 years. Its formula works for most based on the number of repeat clients returning year after year. Christina and crew, keep doing what you are doing, we look forward to next years visit."
