Staff extremely attentive to their customers, pleasent hotel to stay in , restaurant good evening and breakfast meal deal. Pay online for a discount (no refund if you can't go) In a central location and Kendal is a Great Historic town to stay in overnight. Lots of ye old alley ways with buildings dating back to 1500s. Worth exploring! Limited parking on site if your late. (after 4.30pm.) Town Car parks are very nearby. Comfortable bed's , air conditioning. Only concern was you can't open a window. This is countered by good air conditioning.

Cross the bridge and go straight to the shopping area. Not far from the car, there is a weekend second-hand market. Breakfast is delicious. The room is clean and the window is full of spiders.
Castle Green Hotel in Kendal, BW Premier Collection

We had a lovely weekend staying in this relaxing and comfortable hotel. The views are stunning. The interior design was very well thought out and every surface, wall light and furniture was a nod the the surrounding Lakes & mountains from the fine bark lampshades, the artwork and Lakeland colours in the fabrics to compliment the local scenery-all very tastefully done. We had a walk in hotel the grounds and came across an orchard hanging with a big variety of apples which infact were in complimentary bowls on the hotel reception. A nice touch. Our bedroom was spacious and an excellent and immaculately clean bathroom with super complimentary toiletries. An extremely good breakfast set us up for the day of walking and sightseeing. The staff were all a delight and very happy - it makes such a difference. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We will definitely be returning.
The Glen Guest House

Last stayed at the Glen over 6 years ago, so decided to revisit with my puppy, Betsy and a friend with their puppy too. From the warm welcome by Pauline, I knew I’d make the right decision to return. The Glen is an amazing place to stay, quiet and cosy. The rooms and bathrooms have had a makeover and look amazing. Communication regarding Covid regulations were made clear prior to the visit. Breakfast was … AMAZING!! I love scrambled egg and theirs was probably the best I’ve had! Bill was so friendly at service. I can’t thank you both enough for an amazing stay. It’s not easy traveling with a puppy, but I was put at ease from the moment I arrived. The next time I’m in the lakes there’s no where else I’d rather stay. Thank you again.
Shakespeare Inn

Stayed for 3 nights as a birthday treat. The location is great very central. Our room was located in the courtyard away from the pub, so it was very quiet. The room was a good size, slept ok but think the mattress needs an update. Bathroom needed attention as there was dirt behind the door and the shower heads needed a good cleaning. The breakfast was amazing and the girl who served us in the morning was lovely and very friendly. Only had one meal in the bar which was very nice but found bar prices a bit expensive compared from other bars we visited. Overall we did have a lovely stay and found staff lovely and friendly.
