Good hotel in Kendal. Hotel has facilities like pool, gym and sauna. It has good restaurant and a separate pub. They also have two banquet halls which are mostly busy for events. Hotel is situated in a hill and their parking in spread in 3 layers. Surrounding views are beautiful of mountains. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

It's a very nice hotel. It's very big and has many rooms. The environment is very good. The front desk is very polite. The rooms are clean and tidy. There is no smell in the hotel. Parking is free. Many tourist attractions nearby.

£200 for a basic room for one night was a bit on the pricey side for me, however it was nice all the same. A few of the photos of the basic room are misleading. The photos show a four post double bed which is not the case. We found out later this is actually an executive room despite it being labeled basic.
We found out that the hotel location is accessible by bus from Oxenholme train station (despite being told the opposite) and has a great view of beautiful fields. Food in the hotel is good but expensive... My eyes nearly popped out their sockets when I saw the £8.00 charge just for the tiniest amount of table bread. I'd say this was probably the reason the restaurant was empty despite being told we need to book a table due to its popularity. Swimming pool and steam room are average for the price.
Staff are friendly and changed our room to a double bed room free of charge after mistakenly putting us in a twin bedroom.

Transport not convenient without a car. Very difficult to get a taxi sometimes to return to hotel.

The hotel service is very good, and the front desk is very enthusiastic. The location is a bit remote, and the traffic is not very convenient, but the surrounding environment is nice and quiet. Overall, it is a good experience.
