Magnificent hotel on a human scale, the welcome is warm Patrick and Jim will be happy to be of service to you, also in French. The swimming pool is magnificent and well maintained, having breakfast by it was a very pleasant moment. The rooms are large (superior) with all the amenities and a beautiful large terrace. The breakfast is good and the baguette is a delight like in France. The restaurant must be reserved before 4 p.m. the dishes are delicious. At the bar the cocktails are good. We we had a wonderful stay

We spent two nights here and were surprised by the special and attentive way in which everything was taken care of. Very clear communication and everything was possible. The garden of this hotel is very striking because there are many trees and shrubs, which are also very well maintained. The swimming pool is neat and the rooms are sufficient, the bathrooms are disappointing, old and do not match the houses. An outdoor shower would have been better here instead of an old tiled wall. The breakfast and other meals are fantastic and there is a nice collection for those who enjoy a nice drink. Besides the bathroom I mentioned above, there were two other things that disappointed me. Internet was dramatically bad and there was no TV signal at all, that was not reported, but there is a TV. If you want to pay with a debit or credit card, 3% will be added to the bill, if this was only reported at checkout. Despite the comments, a very nice hotel!

We loved our stay at Tara Lodge. Jim and Vireak have created a wonderfully peaceful environment and it definitely lived up to the name 'Haven of Peace'. The breakfasts were amazing and freshly made to order every day, with a different freshly squeezed fruit juice. The staff all work very hard. We love a bit of bird watching and it was a great place for that. The pool was really inviting and the perfect temperature, it's described as a salt water pool but it didn't feel or taste at all salty (in a good way). Jim and Vireak were very helpful in suggesting things to do during our stay and also helping with advice for the next part of our trip and helping arrange onward travel. We particularly appreciate the efforts to reduce plastic usage, it was a shock during our time in SE Asia the overuse of plastic everywhere we went. The lodge are doing everything they can to reduce this. Every hotel we stayed in during our travels gave us 2 small bottles of water every day, which isn't enough to get by so you still end up having to buy more plastic bottles. At Tara Lodge they provide you with a jug and have a free filtered water machine in reception that you can refill as much as you like. As a result of this our time in Kep was the only place that we didn't buy a single bottle of water. It was very noticeable the different this made. I wish other hotels would make this simple change.

We enjoyed three nights in this little paradise. Beautiful spacious, clean room, in a quiet tropical garden with a lovely swimming pool. The food is exceptionally good. Patrick and his team really do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible, nothing is too much for them.

We had a wonderful stay here last week. It was one of the highlights of our three-week trip to Laos and Cambodia. The rooms (bungalows) are spacious with a large outside sitting area. The pool is wonderful after a long day outside. But best of all is the hospitality and friendliness of all the staff - especially Jim and Patrick. Everything was perfect - thank you!

Quiet hotel a few minutes from the crab market and the beach. Beautiful swimming pool, spacious, clean room with a large terrace. Beautiful garden with lots of vegetation. Delicious lunch. Jim and Patrick take great care of their guests and are always willing to help. Besides, thank you again for your attention following my hand injury during our day on the scooter! A gem in our trip! To recommend without hesitation !

This place is divine. Very small (I think only 8 rooms) and no it’s not on the waterside (but that’s a good thing). This place is about a 15 min walk to the crab market, 10 min to the national park, 10 min walk to sailing club … note there is no “town” as such so don’t look for being “in town”. For westerners there is no 711 or shopping street. It’s just one big food stalls and hammocks. But Tara lodge is unique. Beautiful pool, huge rooms, amazing restaurant and the staff (Jim especially) cannot do enough for you. We were here for 2 nights and we were the only guests (Cambodian election). We are in our 60’s from Australia and we walked 8km or more around Kep national park. There is a “convenience” store at end of the street which sells everything but the wine and beer at the hotel was great. Food was divine. The chocolate fondue… don’t share! 😀

It is a hotel with only 9 rooms, but located on a large plot of land with incredible vegetation that is impeccably maintained. The rooms are very spacious and have all the comforts. The attention of the staff, especially Jim, is perfect. Highly recommended!
