Overall a very nice overnight stay. Although I would say that service is not 5 star hotel standard. The room was very nice and spacious. The views are fantastic. The pool and spa area are top class. The food in the bistro was ok.My burger was overcooked and a bit tasteless. Our waiter from Murcia was fantastic. When making the reservation I was advised that our room was suitable for wheelchair use with no steps. This was not correct. I did understand it was not a fully accessible room which was fine. But steps were an issue. When checking out we were not asked how our stay was and was everything ok. Pretty basic. And finally. I’m amazed that a five star hotel cannot provide a decent bin in the bathroom. We had what I call a mousetrap bin. Put your foot on the pedal and it jumps I’m the air. We have a soft opening/closing bin at home which is so simple. In fairness Adare Manor had the same bin. Amazing for a hotel which rates itself as top class.

My partner treated me to a one night stay here as we both have never been and always wondered about it. I must say that both of us were blown away with the level of service and the amazing food, the beautifully manicured gardens and the gorgeous views of the Kerry mountains and last but not least, the spa was just unbelievable! Will not be our last time hopefully but really gorgeous hotel and you really feel welcomed and relaxed after your stay!

A lovely stay at the Europe but a bit overpriced. Our stay was enjoyable but a few things surprised us. There was a lot of children and babies there during our one night stay. The spa area is lovely and luxurious but is limited, with only one outdoor infinity pool overlooking the lake. The service was good but did not feel that it was 5 star unfortunately, e.g we arrived at the hotel early to use the thermal suite (which is allowed). Your robes are found in the wardrobes in your room but our room wasnt ready yet, we asked at the spa if we could we have robes for the thermal suite but were sent back up to reception where we were told there were no spare robes available. When our room was ready for check in there was only one set of robes in the wardrobe so had to ring down to reception for another when the staff knew we had asked for them previously. We had paid a little extra for a "Golfside suite" but the view was mainly of the trees that lie between the hotel and the golf course, didn't really feel the view warranted an extra cost. The food in the Riva Mediterranean restaurant was very good (we ate there twice as the Brasserie (bar restaurant) where we planned to eat doesnt take reservations and had a waiting time of 1.5 hours when we arrived for dinner at 7.30). Staff were very pleasant. The bar had live music at night and we enjoyed great cocktails at the bar. Breakfast was delicious and is served in a huge room with fantastic views of the lake. Overall we had a lovely time at the Europe but didn't feel it was quite worth the money we paid, luckily we had a voucher to put towards the cost of our stay.

Two of us spent two night here. This is a super hotel. Check in was professional, the room really comfortable and a great sleep both nights. Every person working here with us was most professional and we felt it was almost individual attention. The pool and entire leisure facilities are amazing. The food was really good. Don’t know how it can improve

Overall it was a lovely experience. The grounds and view are beautiful. The food mostly perfect. Lots of areas to relax in. The pool and spa area is gorgeous. The room was comfortable. The bar staff were very friendly. Some elements however definitely diminished the experience. The check in at reception was less than welcoming. The receptionist was rude and abrupt, didn't smile once, put the welcome cloths out of reach and didn’t refer to them. Felt very uncomfortable. I asked about needing to book for dinner and she just said that it was walk in only, no need to book. Not mentioning that the Panaroma restaraunt was closed. It does mention this on the website dining section, that it does not open Sundays, but did not come across this information when booking. Later that evening around 7pm the Brasserie had an hour and a half waiting list and the Riva had a half hour waitlist. - just a bit odd not to mention this potential wait or have some kind of booking system. Rooms are quiet basic for a five star but the view is exceptional.

Stayed here with my business partner mid-week. I had stayed here some years ago, so knew the property. Whilst the hotel is a 5 star experience, the check in we experienced left a lot to desire. We were asked our names and handed our room key cards and that was it. We stood there waiting for the usual directions on restaurants, spa, breakfast etc. I can honestly say I’ve had better check ins in a 3 star hotel. It wasn’t my only interaction with reception and I have to say, this side of the hotel needs urgent attention.

This was our second time visiting the hotel, such a beautiful setting, the perfect location for a relaxing weekend away...well, that's what we had hoped! We stayed over the Easter weekend, big mistake. The hotel was pretty much over run with unsupervised children. Running the corridors at 7am screaming. But it was the pool area which really was overrun by kids, again, no supervision. When you pay for a relaxing trea**ent and want to go and relax in the outdoor heated pool, only for it to be filled with children, playing ball games, canon balling in from the side of the pool, running through the grass to retrieve their ball, then bringing the dirt back into the pool with them. It didn't make for a relaxing experience. There were no lifeguards in the pool area, or anyone to monitor the children. The lobby area was scattered in toys. Just not what we expected. But onto the positives. The staff, every single staff member we met were amazing. So friendly, helpful, always stopped for a chat. The staff absolutely make this hotel. Food was fabulous. From breakfast to dinner. Couldn't complain about a single thing, service was outstanding. We stayed in a classic lake view room. Room was spotless clean, cleaned twice a day. Bed was so comfortable. The little chocolate bunnies left each evening were also a lovely touch. Overall, we are looking forward to returning. Just not when the school holidays are on.

Beautiful hotel with breathtaking views of a huge lake and mountains. Good food and drinks service. Also good for events and conferences. Plenty of car parking and good wifi. Hotel rates in the area are high and this is one of the highest per night.
