The Currane Inn is a lovely Inn overlooking the Lough Currane. Ann and her husband Eamon provide comfortable accommodations and delicious food. They are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!.

Currane Lodge is in a beautiful setting along the Rung of Kerry. Our host, Ann, provided an exceptional experience. Her scones are the best I’ve ever had. She provided lovely breakfasts, local history and recommendations for daily trips in the area. A top location and accommodation.

Ann was a wonderful host and we really enjoyed our time here. The views from breakfast cannot be beat, and the breakfasts themselves are great! Ann also gave us great advice on what to do in the area. We cannot recommend Currane Lodge highly enough!

This is just a wonderful B&B! Located overlooking the stunning scenery of Lough Currane, just a 6 minute drive from Waterville. Ann is such a professional host and our booking emails were quickly responded to eveeytime. The lodge is spotlessly clean with great thought put into all aspects of health and safety, and lots of parking available And the breakfast! Full array of hot or cold options available with something new to choose from each day, along with Ann's own freshly baked scones and brown bread e.g. full or mini Irish, pancakes, bagels, fruit plates with yoghurt and fresh specials. Vegetarians/vegans are very well catered for, which was much appreciated. All this served to you while looking out at one of the most scenic areas in the country! Our family of two adults and two young boys stayed in Room 6 which was perfect, a real home from home, with a sofa to relax on also. It had a roomy ensuite with modern shower. Being located on the second floor, the skylight windows provided excellent views and ventilation. This large room had a double bed and two huge single beds, and the bed linen was just so comfortable. A fridge and microwave were provided in the room also which was so helpful, along with kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. Also lots of storage areas and plug points and free WIFI. Ann and her family are fountains of knowledge on the area and so helpful when looking to plan your day. To drive the Skellig Ring from Waterville to Por**agee is an unforgettable experience - a strong driver is advised! Do not miss the stop on the way to view the Skelligs from the Kerry Cliffs viewing point (€15 for family)! Valentia Island is a lovely drive, we really enjoyed looking at the Tetrapod Trackway dating back to 385 million years ago! Derrynane House and Gardens are stunning with a short walk to the amazing Derrynane Beach from the car park. In the evening, a local taximan brought us to Waterville and back so we could enjoy some of the local restaurants The Lobster Pot and The Villa, which were great. On another night, we collected a chipper tea from the excellent Roadhouse Takeaway and enjoyed it in the front dining area of Lodge. There is just so much to do in this area, and Currane Lodge was the perfect place for us to base ourselves. If travelling to Currane Lodge from Dublin, you might consider travelling via Kilorglin / Cahirsiveen route and entering the lodge's Eircode on arrival in Waterville. That way you can still enjoy the Ring of Kerry. Otherwise the Eircode entered from Dublin will bring you through the magical Ballaghisheen Pass which requires very strong driving skills and a strong nerve. Thank you Ann and family for making our holiday so wonderful, we really appreciated everything

Ann gave us such a gracious and warm welcome and told us a lot about this beautiful part of the world. The view from the property was breathtaking, and we loved walking in the surrounding countryside. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts were outstanding - homemade, plentiful and lots of variety. I'd go back in an instant.

We spent a really pleasant stay in Ann' house. She's totally welcoming and helpful. The accomodation is surrounded by tremendous landscapes and many car or walk trips start from there. We made also a really nice boat trip on the lake just nearby and walk around its tiny island. We come back as soon as we can.

11/10. Very welcoming, hospitality second to none by far the best b&b we stayed in on the Kerry way. Also a very pretty spot just on the Currane Lough. We arrived after a very long walk from Cahersiveen (allow extra time for this walk it’s a long one) and although we had not booked it the host still made us a dinner(lasagne) which was very good (better than some I’ve had form Killarney restaurants!) normally you have to book in advance - be sure to do so the food is great! Rooms were perfect with a very generous and tasty breakfast left in a fridge in the room for the morning (covid adaptation). Very friendly hosts, very good food, great hospitality. Apologies for the delay with this review and thanks again! P.s The photo doesn’t do the place justice but the panoramic pictures I took of the view are too large (above 5mb)
