My wife and I were here for the past two nights. Terrible weather, lovely accomodations. Margaret and Connor (owners) were friendly, funny, informative, not invasive and gave us plenty of time to linger over breakfast. Irish breakfast, more than willing to add and subtract to our tastes. The bedroom and bath were competely fine, clean and comfortable. If and when we return to Waterville, we will absolutely reserve with the Old Cable.

I did not stay here as the owner would not accept a working credit card. My wife had made the booking in her name and he told *********** that I was a no show. Lies and rudeness beyond anything I have come across before.

There were no any communications from the property owners, we have arrived during check in window and the owners were surprised they have guests. The room was clean, ok comfortable, the lady seems irritated, maybe had a bad day.

We are very seasoned travellers in our late 50s and have travelled all over the world The arrogance of the owners is something that I still can’t believe. If you look carefully at other reviews we are not the only visitors who have experienced this and I’m regret not reading them He refused to take a valid credit card alleging it didn’t work but worked before and after and made things so uncomfortable…………. WORDS FAIL ME

Albergo situato a una quindicina di minuti a piedi dal lungo mare di Waterville. Camera nella media in linea con quanto pagato, ammodernerei un po’ il mobilio. Ottima e abbondante la colazione offerta a 15 € (a noi ha fatto lo sconto:12 euro). Personale veramente gentile. Il titolare e il figlio sono stati molto cortesi ed è stato un piacere fare quattro chiacchiere con loro. Offrono anche un buon servizio ristorante (OhMaryLoo) dove abbiamo cenato una sera.

Absolutely stunning on all levels. There was three of us and we were beyond satisfied we got the pork and fennel Ragu, mushroom and pancetta pasta and bronagh also threw in the meatballs to try and just stunning on all levels highly recommend all of them the fish is beautiful fresh and meaty by far the freshest food around 10/10 we will be back I forgot to take pictures we were far too hungry! The smell was haunting my belly all the way home!
