Recently walking some of the Dingle Way I was booked to stay at Morris and Tomas' Guesthouse. The day was slightly wet, a storm brewing in Cork, and in UK, so arriving wet and blown through the front door, welcomed with hot leek and potato soup and homemade brown bread to die for! After warming up, the night unfolded in the pub, and then everyone rallied around and we watch the Rugby cup All Blacks game with a local Cronins cider (from Co.Kerry) and huge portion of dinner. Comfy bed, & warm rooms with amazing views out over the three sisters, and down towards Brandon Creek (google this for history). Amazing breakfast spread the following day, with local yoghurt (I downed it all) from "Dingle Farm" in Beag - friends of Morris. Thanks so much team, loved the stay, and may be back!!

Located beyond Dingle in a rural area, this family-run guesthouse offers good quality en-suite rooms and a fine breakfast, with fresh fruit, eggs, cereals etc. There is a guest lounge with scenic views, and good walking, including of course Mount Brandon. The pub offers food also, and again the standard is high, better than one might expect in a pub. The regular musicians, playing mostly Irish traditional music, are immensely entertaining. Certainly recommend this guesthouse and pub, especially for tourists seeking good lodging, food and entertainment, in a remote and beautiful part of Ireland.

We stayed two nights and it was perfect. The location is about 12 km from Dingle and a great place if you're walking the mountain passes or just want to enjoy the beautiful Kerry countryside. We were there for the Friday night when they had traditional musicians in so we had a great night. I hope you like it as much as we did.

Excellent location, wonderful food, very friendly staff. Cozy dinner by the fire was superb. They were SO accommodating with a difficult circumstance that I had! Thanks so much. We'll stay here again!

I used the accommodation here, when I walked The Dingle Way by myself. An Bothar Pub and Guesthouse is an absolutely stunning place to stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. I had amazing view from my window. The bathroom was spacious and ideal for relax after rainy day with very strong wind. I came to Guesthouse completely wet and the owners dried all my things (incl. shoes). As I was walking and had no car, I ate at the restaurant, the dinner was excellent. The breakfast was prepared by the owner based on my choose, what I wanted to eat. The owner gave me the direction how to continue in The Dingle Way. I would like to recommend An Bothar Pub to any travellers, especially to any walkers on The Dingle Way.

Had dinner in an bothar last night and the food was amazing. Delicious crab claws to start with and the most perfectly cooked steak that I have eaten in a long time. My wife had chicken wings for starters which were lovely and a beautiful fillet of fresh hake for mains. Excellent service too. Also Muiris serves the best pint of Gunness around.

Room quality very good (except toilet didn't flush adequately) but wouldn't give a glowing review for breakfast. Portions are just adequate and pedestrian (e.g 'ham' omelette was just slice of cheap ham inserted between eggs )

The website claims food is served all day. However when we visited for lunch we were told kitchen closed until lunch. We had planned a cycling trip with children on the basis that we could stop for lunch here. As there was no food and no alternatives close by we had to cut short our planned day, return to our accommodation and drive to Dingle to feed the kids.
