We stayed here so we would not have a long drive in the morning to make our boat, Lady Clare, for Skellig Michael. The hotel is only a few steps from the dock so no worries there and plenty of parking for the car. The rooms were clean and nice with comfortable beds and good bathrooms and showers. There is not much to do in town, but we had made reservations for dinner at the hotel's adjacent restaurant (food was just OK). We brought a few bottles of wine and the hotel supplied glassware, so we hung out in the room recalling our day's adventures until it was time for bed. We all slept well, had a nice breakfast (included with room), and were ready to go explore Skellig Michael.

Very nice stay. If you are in Portmagee for the Stelligs or halfway point along the Ring of Kerry (as we were) this is the place to rest your bones. Lovely breakfast included. Friendly staff. Clean and very nice accommodations. Bridge Bar nextdoor where Mark Hamill poured a pint (and maybe stayed) during filming on Skellig Michael.

Rooms are very nice. We stayed at the Falls recently and The Moorings out performed them across the board. Helpful friendly staff. We arrived late at The Bridge bar for dinner. Which was very good. When we completed our meal we ask the server about places to stay in the area. He took us next door and checked us in. He made sure everything was good.

Lovely spot, kind service , adorable bar, clean, comfortable rooms.. tiny tv whose remote’s batteries were taped in and didn’t work. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Small hotel with stairs to get to the rooms. Not unusual on our vacation at all. I’d stay here again.

Wonderful stay here over the Easter weekend. Staff are excellent and very welcoming. Owner Gerard is a superb host, always has time for a chat and even bought me a pint at the bar! Food in the restaurant and bar are to a very high standard for with reasonable pricing. Child friendly also. Location for exploring surrounding area is superb. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We enjoyed a lovely night here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and served up great food. The attached bridge bar is a lively place and I'd say would be great fun in the summer. A lively base to visit Valentia Island. Alot around even in Feb.

This hotel was not at all what I was expecting, perhaps I hadn't read enough reviews. It was small. There was no elevator, and the stairs were steep and narrow, and difficult to carry bags up (and no one to help with that). The service was minimal at best. The breakfast seemed like an afterthought. Perhaps it would be perfect for those there just to fish.

A warm reception greets you at check-in. Friendly, efficient, polite and helpful staff in all departments. This is a small hotel with a big heart. The food was of the highest quality. Breakfast menu was extensive. I had full Irish, which set me up for the whole day. The bar atmosphere was quiet at my time of visit, but had a cosy feel. My room was exceptionally clean, with a really comfy bed that gave me a great nights sleep. The en-suite was clean and tidy with lashings of hot water to shower....Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

One of the best places I’ve eaten in a long time. The food was amazing. The staff did an excellent job. The food had amazing taste. I typically don’t post things on the internet but this restaurant is a golden gem in Ireland.
