From the minute we pulled up to the minute we left, couldn't fault a single thing. Lovely welcome on arrival, showed to a fantastic room and breakfast arrangements explained. Room was more than adequate with a really comfortable bed, good shower and tea/coffee facilities at hand,and breakfast was amazing, with really good selection and quality produce. Host couldnt do enough for you, even when he was flying solo on this particular weekend. Great location and close to town but just far enough out not to get any noise( 2- 3 mins walk). Managed to get a parking space in the street opposite, so car never moved all weekend. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again when next up there. Thanks for a great stay Noel & Lisa (Room 3)

We stayed here for 5 nights in July 2023 in room 5 which was-a small double room.I had contacted the owner directly to enquire and he told me because I spoke directly and not through an agent the cost was £90 a night. Barrie phoned me before we were going to ask about our e mail address which was wrong so I gave him it again. We still did not receive it so I messaged the e mail address to him by text . On checking out we were told he did not take card if possible, he would rather cash or cheque. We were charged £500.00 which was £25 for using the card and no reduction for booking directly. He kept telling us this was all in the emails which have still not appeared.

Just returned from our stay at Glendale Guest House, it was a fantastic stay and had everything we needed. It was located within a 2 minute walk into town and had great hosts. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy and the bedding was excellent quality. The breakfast was beautiful with quality produce. I would highly recommend this Guest house.

The setting was lovely with a small well-kept garden. There was a security bell in place. Claire and Barry were very welcoming and friendly. The room was pleasing, comfy and well equipped for a B and B. Barry was particularly helpful in recommending a good nearby restaurant and very chatty. We had a restful night and a fantastic breakfast. The breakfast room was light and airy with a fair selection on offer. Claire and Barry were very accommodating. I would certainly recommend them for a lovely stay in Keswick. Thank you kindly both for looking after us so well.

Booked two single rooms for two nights. Rooms were very small but had en-suite shower room, TV, kettle and very clean and tidy and a comfortable bed. Full English Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had - everything cooked to perfection!

This guest house is a little gem situated in a side street just 200 metres from the centre of Keswick. Our room was clean, fresh and obviously loved by the owners. Crisp white bedding, Egyptian cotton taupe coloured towels and various high end toiletries provided. It was nipping clean. A Full English Breakfast was freshly prepared to order, piping hot and set us right up for a day out in Keswick and the wider area. We would certainly recommend the Glendale to everyone

We've just got home from having a fabulous few days in Keswick. We stayed in The Glendale Guest House and it was such a lovely place to stay. The room was perfect, clean, bright and welcoming. The shower was really powerful and the bathroom was just a nice size. The breakfast was of really good quality local produce and so tasty and beautifully presented. Barry and Clare were both friendly and welcoming, thank you both for making our stay a memorable one. We will definitely be back! Cath & Dave Murphy
