Squirrel Lodge

Visited keswick many times and without fear of contradiction best stay ever. Lovely couple and family, comfortable room,relaxed atmosphere and asuper breakfast. That good I overpaid.Hope it catches on.

We had a lovely one night stay in Squirrel Lodge; fresh modern decor, comfy kingsize bed, delicious breakfast and delightful hosts. Lots of B&Bs in the area but this is the one you should choose!

I haven't stayed in a B&B for years and always thought I'd feel uncomfortable staying in what is effectively someone else's house. But seemingly B&Bs are the done thing in Keswick, and I was proved completely wrong by Ben and Fiona, who had it just right when it came to being avaialble if you needed anything and giving you your own space. I can't fault the room cleanliness, bed comfort, lovely power shower and delicious breakfast. Would defintely stay again - expecially as it's so close to the town centre.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day visit to Keswick and exploring the area with a couple of good walks and smaller strolls. Our stay at Squirrel Lodge was the icing on the cake. Fiona & Ben welcomed us on our first day and we were able to check in a couple of hours early (as our rooms were available) This couple are friendly and approachable and prepared hearty & delicious breakfasts to set us up each day. Our rooms were very comfortable, clean, cosy & quiet. Ben is very knowledgeable on local walks and places to eat etc and his information was very useful to us. They are only a short pleasant 5 minute walk to the town centre This young couple and their family deserve the fabulous reviews written already and my family & I wholeheartedly recommend their guest house to stay in when visiting Keswick. It won’t be Squirrel Lodge now but Glencoe Guest House as they are in the process of moving around the corner. We would love to return next year. Myself and my partner stayed at Squirrel Lodge along with our two small dogs for a long weekend - it couldn't have been more perfect for what we needed. Firstly the location was fantastic, just a short walk into Keswick Town centre but also in easy reach to other local places of interest. Most importantly, Ben and Fiona were brilliant hosts. Super friendly but also extremely knowledgeable about the local area, which was really helpful. Couldn't recommend Squirrel Lodge enough and we look forward to returning next time we visit the Lakes.

Excellent 2 day stay,couldn't fault anything. One of the best cooked breakfast I have ever had. Looking forward to staying at the new place next year.good free parking and a 5 minute walk into Keswick.
