I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at the Courtyard Key West Waterfront. Despite the hotel’s promising location, the stay was marred by numerous issues and substandard service. Firstly, many of the electrical outlets, including USB ports, were non-functional. This was highly inconvenient and should have been checked prior to my arrival. Additionally, the room was never cleaned during my stay, which is completely unacceptable and a major hygiene concern. The television in my room was also not working. It took multiple calls and a day and a half to resolve this issue, during which I had to endure an argument with a front desk employee who insisted it was working. This was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. To add insult to injury, when I requested to extend my stay for one more night, a front desk employee confirmed it. However, the next day, I was abruptly asked to leave by the general manager due to a mistake made by the front desk staff in not marking the room as extended. The manner in which this situation was handled was rude and entirely unprofessional. Given these numerous issues, I cannot recommend staying at this hotel. There are many other better options on the island of Key West where guests are treated with respect and the amenities actually work.
