Casa Marina Key West, Curio Collection by Hilton

We booked a king suite for an anniversary trip. Would never do that here again. The rooms are good sized, but dark, with few windows and are in terrible condition. The bedroom has one tiny window that opens onto the hallway. So youre never going to have that open. The second room has a small balcony, but its location blocks much of the natural light you’d get from those windows. The dresser has a broken drawer. The TV in the bedroom is dead and won’t turn on. And one of the robes has a cigarette burn in it. The bathroom layout is ridiculous (big, but you can’t open the shower door and the door to the room at the same time, no towel rack, and if you leave the door open and some comes in the front door, the shower is exposed to the hallway). After raising these issues, we were offered a downgrade of a room, though with an ocean view if you stand in exactly the right place, or the opportunity to spend double for a super special suite. The grounds and beach are nice. The doormen and pool/beach staff are nice and attentive. But the suites suck and are just not worth it. I understand the non suites have been upgraded somewhat too. But overall I certainly would not book a suit here.

We were recently at Casa Marina Key West for a family wedding and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this resort and the staff. The duration of our vacation was five nights and we had a standard two queen bedroom for the entirety of the stay. It was our first time visiting Key West, so we had no expectations for this trip. Casa Marina blew us away. The room was so refreshing. The decor (nightstands had so many outlets for three-prongs and USB cords) was beautiful and there was even a mini fridge in the room. Although there was no proper closet, the staff happily provided extra hangers which made it completely fine for our use. Housekeeping made sure to come when we needed them and was fantastic. Our time outside at the resort was split between the pool and the beach. Both experiences were fantastic. The pool had great availability of chairs in both the adult and the kid pools. The food at the pool was light and refreshing. My only complaint is that the Diet Coke was a little flatter than I like... While we were at the beach, I was in heaven. There was a pier that walked you out past the surf and the sea**** so we could just sit in the ocean for hours. (I am not a surf and sea**** girlie, so this was 10/10 in my books.) The beach bar and restaurant also made it easy to run over for some drink or food, which was very necessary some times. The amenities at the hotel were great! We used the gym quite a bit and the equipment was more impressive than I was expecting. A few treadmills, benches with free weights, a cable machine, and some bikes were in the space as well as some chilled water bottles. Our cousin utilized the spa for a massage and said it was nice. The lobby store had a surprising amount of items and the coffee was sublime. The lobby bar was great, although small, and the drinks were strong. The staff was kind and attentive, which is all you really want out of a hotel stay. Every person at the front desk was lovely and made us feel welcome. The doormen held the door open for us every time we left and returned to the resort. (Shoutout to my man Vince!!) All around, an amazing experience for us and our family. One of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been to, so if you're looking for an all-inclusive venue, this is the one! (In all honesty, the wedding food was the best food I had on my trip in Key West. Not sure what that says about my experience but the fish was EXCELLENT.) Thank you to the Casa Marina Key West staff for this stay. It was one we will never forget.

The Casa Marina is a Beautiful property My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week together The staff is very friendly and courteous. The concierge was both knowledgeable and insightful Everyone knew their job and did it well The 2 pools were well maintained and pretty to look at How wonderful to step right out to our private beach We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner Their staff and bartenders were very accommodating and enjoyable to converse with My only one strong recommendation was to have more fans circulating on those very hot evenings. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel

This hotel costing $700 a night is in poor condition. Our room was not cleaned for 3 days and we continually had to ask for towels and toilet paper. The rooms are ok…for *** star hotel not 4 dtar resort. Main restaurant is under construction so all meals provided for corporate president club members were outside in heat on grass or beach. sounds nice but we got eaten up by bugs. Also beware if you have food allergies…they are not equipped for even vegan or gluten free. If you are Celiac i wouldn’t attempt. You can book the Hampton for $250.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Arrived before check-in time but was given room. Room was clean with very comfortable bed. Property had two nice pools and a little beach area (don't go expecting some type of wide sandy beach - Key West is not for that type trip). I went for several ocean swims off of the pier. I stayed here 5 nights and the property is beautiful! Construction is still happening near the pool/beach but it was minimally bothersome. They were working on the second floor of a restaurant/bar area and it looks great! My room could have been awesome but it just seemed to not be designed well. That shocked me since it was just redone. The room was spacious but lacked storage space. It had a very wide closet that had 1 bar across. No shelf above it, so no storage besides the 6 hangers it contained. The room had a dresser/furniture piece underneath the tv that looked to have 4 drawers, but no. The right side of it was not drawers, it contained a built in refrigerator. 2 small drawers for 2 queen beds. It had 1 nightstand between the two beds, so no table for whoever slept on the outsides of the beds. And the 1 and only nightstand did have a tiny drawer but it had a built-in safe. The shower had not one shelf inside for your own items, so nowhere for razor, soap, any of that stuff. We put ours on the ledge of the floor. Unreal! That seemed to creep me out a little- I didn’t want my soap on the floor! We did call down for additional hangers. 3 hours later we did not have them and called again. We asked for 10 and got 4. Hahaha! You can’t put your items in drawers and you can’t hang them either! Mind you it was just me and my husband, but my room could fit 4! What do you do then? The room is so spacious you really can figure something out to resolve this. Several guests at the pool were complaining about the same things and for the cost of the room the flaws seem ridiculous. I believe these rooms were booking for over $700 a night. They offered free water at the pool/beach which was generous! They even came around with Italian ice! Very nice touch! All outdoor staff was amazing! Super helpful and always accommodating and especially friendly. Indoor staff left a little to be desired. Front desk guy forgot to tell me about my daily resort credit and there was no mention of my diamond status. Is that not a thing at a Curio property? Maybe it isn’t. But what made me cringe was the lady concierge. The property has 2 extremely small elevators on my side of the building. I used the one on the left on my initial trip up and it was not wide at all. I incorrectly assumed that the 2nd elevator was just as narrow, so I had concerns when my husband approached with a luggage cart to carry bags to the room. We stopped in front of the concierge and I asked what we do since this cart would not fit in the left elevator. Her response was she didn’t know. She stayed seated and never got up to help me problem solve or call someone. She just repeated 3 times that she had no idea and didn’t know what to tell me. Would have been nice if she said the other elevator was a bit bigger and could fit the cart. Or call a bellman to speak to. Nope. Just she didn’t know.
