Malika Khevaek was the only hotel inside Khiva’s walled city – what a fantastic location! Everything was within a hundred meter reach! Everyone else had to enter the walled city gates every day to see the sites. The hotel operated a covered outdoor restaurant, one of the most picturesque eating places in the walled city. Breakfast food was quite limited. But dinner was very good. It was obviously a family run affair. The small informal lobby led to the courtyard. Around the courtyard were two floors of guest rooms; clearly, this had once been a rich merchant’s villa. The walls are nicely decorated with desert-caravan-bazaar scenes. We found it odd that there was no trash can in the room. The phone didn’t work so my wife had to keep going down to talk to the front desk. The rooms had tea sachets and cups, though we had to ask for a hot water kettle. Breakfast wasn’t impressive at all.

This hotel really is in a prime location, fantastically opposite the entrance gate to the old town. It has a nice decor. The rooms are neat. The beds are decent. Plumbing couldn't handle it. Very nice because of the location.

The hotel is super located, near the main gate to the city, with excellent breakfast, good beds and excellent staff. The disadvantage is that the WiFi is poor, but you are in the city so much that it does not matter. In terms of base, it is one hundred percent worth this

Simple small rooms. The foyer was large, there was no lobby bar. Breakfast was in a huge hall and would be served. The only good thing about the hotel was the location. Just a few steps and you are at the west gate of the old town.

Arrived at night and the walk through the old town was amazing. Basic facilities, but we had a large seating area and a separate bedroom, with a huge bathroom. Breakfast was typical, but kept coming and coming. Probably about 16 different dishes.
