Our room is equipped with a large outdoor balcony. Although my friend’s room does not have a balcony, it is equipped with a living room, which is much more comfortable than ordinary standard rooms. The front desk of the hotel is very enthusiastic and helped us make an appoin**ent for a driver to go to the national park. The airport pick-up service is also very good. The breakfast buffet is very rich. For dinner, I ordered grilled pork chops. It was delicious, and the tip is included in the meal price. The fly in the oin**ent is that the driver asked us for 60 dollars after booking the car from the hotel to the airport on the return trip, but the front desk told us that it was only 35 dollars.

Wonderful stay. The rooms were very beautiful and spacious. The bathroom has very good amenities and the hotel pays attention to the environment. The bed was so comfortable and many services are available such as room service, etc. Wifi is perfect, no issues. The hotel has a very nice swimming, pool, spa, Gym, etc. The breakfast was exceptional, with wonderful, good, fresh fruit, and everything you wanted. I also booked a massage at the spa, which was perfect. The prices are also good. The spa reservation was punctual and very good and relaxing. The amenities were well maintained.

The Lady at the reception was so arrogant and unpleasant that I told her she was so and that I would be looking for a room in another hotel before leaving. Additionally, when I presented her with my Platinum Prestige Club card she didn't even seem to know what it was. When you have spent enough in the Serena hotels to accumulate some 75,000 bonus points, it's quite a disappoin**ent.

The restaurant Milima was superb, exceptional variety and abundance. Hotel staff were friendly and professional. Room while spacious showed signs of age and lack of attention to detail. Cracked lampshade, 2 lamps not working, telephone disconnected, no coffee maker until Day 3. All things were rectified once notified. Not what I expected from 5 star hotel.

The Serena is an excellent hotel that lives up to the five star expectation (also comparing internationally). Friendly staff providing great services … although not smiling a lot. The pool area is an oasis in the busy city centre. Food in the restaurants is great though a little pricey conpared to other hotels - not compared to European standards though. There a Serena approved taxi’s always waiting that can bring you to the city or to the airport (35 USD for an airport transfer).

Hotel certainly didn’t feel like a 5 star property. Rooms were fine but could have been a little cleaner. There just wasn’t anything special with the accommodations. Service was strangely off putting - no warmth and transactional. And the restaurants were not good at all. We ate three meals at the main hotel restaurant - only offered buffet of very middling quality. Sense is that the nearby Marriott has much better food options

We attended a meeting at the hotel and stayed for a week. We had a very positive experience. The rooms were comfortable and well stocked. The staff were all helpful and courteous. There are a number of food options in the hotel and there are good restaurants within a safe 15 minute walk
