We aren’t writing this review to give a bad rep, we are writing this to help people’s expectations when booking. We just stayed here for Valentines Day to get away from our daily norm. We have this as a tradition and have slept in many King Suites. This one is perhaps the smallest one we have stayed in. The bed is a true King and it takes up a LOT of room, the heater/AC is right beside the bed and quite noisy, so you may have to sleep close together on the opposite side. The pillows are really hard, but some people might like that. There is a strange draft and windy noise that hovers above near the ceiling that never goes away. The jacuzzi tub is great but be careful since the hot and cold knobs slide off as they are broken and not screwed in. You can watch the TV from either the tub or bed but the remote isn’t connected so you’ll have to dry off to change the volume or to turn it on and off. The customer service was good, so if you can settle for all of these things mentioned, enjoy :)

Very elegant hotel, surrounded by greenery. Breakfast is great: in addition to regular food, there are grilled vegetables and vegetable salads, and there are berries and blueberries in the fruit. The service is also good. When leaving, I tip the front desk and refused to accept it.

The hotel may be a remodeled old hotel with antiques and a very nice restaurant. The breakfast was quite rich in a small restaurant contracted by Indians. In short, this hotel is quite cost-effective, and it feels like an old-fashioned star hotel that lives above Samsung.

Standard North American motel, parking is very convenient. The indoor facilities are not new, but they are very useful. Breakfast is also a North American standard Western breakfast (bread, waffles, milk, eggs, coffee, juice), unlimited, maple syrup is great. Book a twin room, two big and one small enough. The key is to be kind and good, and the check-in process is very smooth!

A great value booking. I have stayed in suites of this chain brand in other places before and it feels good. This time it is a very new hotel. The girl at the front desk said that it only opened last week. It has snow-white new linens, thick new carpets with no peculiar smell, and is clean. Bathrooms, etc. are particularly precious in Canada, a place where hotel quality is generally low. The hotel provides simple breakfast and the service staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Highly recommended.

I happened to stay here as the Doubletree was sold out. First having not stayed in this type of property before wasn’t sure what to expect. What a nice surprise there was a kitchen in the suite plus a nice sofa. I found the room to have anything you might need for a extended stay. Plus had a desk and office chair. The biggest surprise was that the staff works in both hotels (Doubletree & Home2) as they are connected. I am so impressed with the staff, everyone I have had contact with has been fantastic. The location off the 401 (exit Sydenham Road to Princess St) is so quick & convenient. Lots of grocery stores to stop stock up the fridge within couple of minutes. Almost forgot to mention breakfast is served daily. I certainly will stay here again.

The room is about 28 square meters, two large beds, comfortable, clean and tidy, the facilities are relatively perfect, free Wi-Fi, staff service attitude is good, parking is open air parking lot, quite convenient. The variety of breakfast is ok, and it is quite satisfactory! PS: I encountered two hares on the grass next to the parking lot!

GGuest UserWow , this was such a lovely bed and breakfast , check in non contact , although we did meet a wonderful staff member when we arrived . We had room #1 , on the first floor , large window to view the side garden. The gardens and property are very nice. The porch was great for a drink or two. Later on at dusk the gas fire pit was running , very nice. This bed and breakfast built in 1849 -50 , all the charm you are looking for. You like stone this place has it. Nice sitting room . Without that old house smell. The room amenities , bed was nice , did not miss the TV and the bathroom was excellent. Great shower. The breakfast in the morning was excellent , sandwich ,cheese, fruit , croissants. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. Thanks

OOnadellWe stayed at this lovely hotel for a sisters getaway and thoroughly enjoyed it. We wanted a place with 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen so we could cook our own meals. It was more than we anticipated with lots of space and an amazing kitchen equipped for a large group with 2 ovens and 2 fridges as well as a long table for 8. It is located in a quiet area with lovely trees and landscaping. Spacious decks to enjoy and close to the downtown. The living room furniture could be more comfortable but otherwise it was great. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. 12 ft high ceilings made the rooms seem so elegant. Self check in worked well and any request we had was answered promptly. It was perfect for a retreat and we spent our time drinking tea and chatting. If anyone wants a place where they will be comfortable spending lots of time inside, it's perfect. This was our first visit but hopefully not our last. We stayed in the Whitney suite.

GGuest Userfirst off we visited the hotel during the coronavirus pandemic so there were things that were shut down due to this. The pool was available two customers on a booking schedule so you would book it for 45 minutes and the pool was your entire families which I thought was an excellent idea. since the hot tub could contribute to coronavirus it was shut down that was understandable and since the water slide needed a lifeguard they shut it down so there wouldn't be life guards with your family do to Corona and that was understandable as well. The hotel is located ten feet away from a small outlet mall which my wife light as well there were many fast food in casual restaurants nearby. If you wanted to be downtown you had about a five minute or so drive so it was not as good as some of the resorts on the waterfront but it was significantly better price and the rooms were excellent. Each room had a nice TV microwave and fridge..and was very spacious they had walk-in showers instead of bathtubs which I thought was an excellent idea. one thing to know they did not have a coffee maker in the room due to coronavirus issues ETC. They did not have any included breakfast as well but I got an excellent price thank you to trip.com. and that easily made up for no breakfast. overall trip.com saved me easily 50 Canadian dollars a night so compared to a riverfront hotel over $125 per night was saved. I felt this was well worth the inconvenience of being a 5 minute drive from downtown... parking downtown with no issue and typically was 4 to $5 so even when you tag in the gas to drive downtown the parking and everything I still saved an incredible amount of money for this very nicely appointed hotel I would recommend trip.com hands down and I would recommend this hotel unless you absolutely needed to be right downtown.

GGuest UserStayed at this hotel during both my daughters' graduations from Queen's since it was really close to the Leons Centre, where the ceremonies were held. -Hotel is very close to everything, walking distance to alot of restaurants and we were even able to walk to Queen's campus. -Breakfast was included and it came in take-out containers that we picked up in their cafeteria in the morning. It included a muffin, 2 boiled eggs, cheese, fruit and a juice. You could also order coffee or tea with it. -Hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly. Only thing I did not like was that there were too many people hanging around the hotel steps during the day and night, not sure if they were transients or patrons staying at the hotel. -Parking was about $20 per day underground but you can also park across the street for much cheaper. Their underground parking was very limited but we always managed to get a parking spot every day. -Our hotel room was very clean, Yes it looked kind of dated but you can tell that they had made some renovations to it. We had a city view and it overlooked downtown Kingston. Had no issues with A/C. Bathroom had no vent so when we showered, the steam from the shower made our floor wet due to condensation I guess? -There was no housekeeping but they did change our towels daily. Overall, an average hotel and it served its purpose for our stay.

GGuest UserWe had an overnight stay as we were dropping our daughter off at Queens. The room was fantastic, clean comfortable and spacious. Sadly we were put in the middle of a chunk of rooms booked by inconsiderate parents of a kids hockey team. I get it, tourneys are fun, but it has never crossed my mind to lean up against someone’s door in the hallway being loud and obnoxious. Anyway, the hotel Was very apologetic and discounted our stay tremendously. We will be back, and have actually booked a stay there in in the spring already. Unfortunate they had to make up for these people, but they did.

FFANGYINGThe front desk is very welcoming. I need to change a few coins and take a bus on weekdays. Most of them can help. The room was very spacious, the quilt was a bit thick, and the air conditioner had to be turned down at night to sleep or it would get hot. Wifi is free and works well, no problem watching videos. Free breakfast, in the door on the left side of the entrance door, is a large hall with several tables and chairs. Breakfast is very simple but nutrition is enough. Two types of bread slices, several types of bagels, three types of muffin cakes, three types of crispy cereals with milk, peeled white boiled eggs, cold milk, several cold juices, hot coffee, hot water, and bags The Quaker Instant Oatmeal comes in two flavors: apples and oranges, all of which are whole. There are several stations around, close to kingston center, only a few minutes walk, there is the bus terminal and several supermarkets, shopping and transportation are convenient. In short, the price is very high.

GGuest UserI have stayed at this hotel in the past and it has been ok. This past weekend was not ok. I was assigned room 161. The room is very small. The double bed fills the room. I could hardly move around the bathroom (I am a large person). The walls are in need of a major paint job. Marks all over. The ceiling needs to be redone as well. The bedding looked and felt very cheap. The light switch tuned off the clock radio and power bar. On the positive side, the bathroom looked recently refreshed. Overall, it felt like a room I would get at $40 per night hotel As well, the room is near the entrance, so you hear everyone. On this night, there were children/teens being very loud (yelling to each other as they went to the pool). We had to turn on the TV very loud. The TV was small and the selection available from Bell was limited. Gave up and attached my laptop. Fortunately, they did not hardwire the cord as I did not bring an extra HDMI cable.
