Garda House

Property was advertised as 2 x king and one king pullout bed. We were 3 singles checking in. When we checked in only the 2 kings were made up and no linen for the pullout. When we requested linen we eventually received a reply and were told that the king pullout "does not really work" and its for families with kids to use. This was not clear on booking. Eventually mismatched linen was dumped in the apartment which we did not end up using as the bed would not pull out easily and was in very poor shape.

The house was very clean and cozy. It had everything we needed.

Stayed for 2 nights in August. Family stay. Apartment presented clean. Bedding available for pull out sofa. Owner was communitve and helpful at all times. Car parking is not guaranteed, we had to street park for hours and watch space the next day before we could park car. Hear the noise on the streets outside. The noise from Apartment above, hear everything people walking open and banging doors and talking. On the 2nd night the people above came back around 12am they were loud, music blaring, smoking, up and diwn stairs, laughing, shouting went on for hours and i had to ask them to keep it down. When informed the owner next day, said our house rules clearly state quiet hours but have no control over the behaviour of other people. We didn't get to sleep till well after 4am as they finished up at 3.30am. Owner could have reimbursed a nights stay. We ran out of it next day early.. Wouldn't recommend if you want a nice relaxing weekend.

Nice clean apartments. Quite well equipped and very good location for everything in the town. One major issue however is that you can literally hear everything from the apartments above and below. Not an easy fix in an existing property like this, but definitely needs to be looked into.
