A hot spring inn where time flows slowly. The building is old, but it's well kept and feels nice. The single-person room I stayed in has been renovated into a Western-style room, perfect for a workday! The bath is traditional, and is crowded with regulars in the evenings. It was fun to listen to their stories (although there were some parts where I couldn't understand the dialect (^^;)) There are showers, but they are small and difficult to use, so if you want to take a good shower, you can use the nearby day-use hot springs. It might be a good idea. There aren't even any convenience stores in the area, but I didn't get bored by relaxing and reading a book while drinking coffee on the terrace. And the hot water is great! It smells a bit like iron, but it's not irritating and refreshing. It warms your body. The sight of the hot water gushing out from the spout is a sight to behold. It was an inn that I wanted to visit not just once, but over and over again.
