Kirishima Kokusai Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel's location is fantastic; the lobby counter is directly connected to the station hallway, eliminating the need to go downstairs, enter the station, and then go upstairs again. The shopping street is also great, and even better, the Big Camera complex is located in the same building. All the shopping malls are in the same area. This was the perfect choice for us independent travelers. Clean and tidy!"
Hotel R9 the Yard Kirishimakokubu ★★★
"Very new and clean accommodation, highly recommended for self-driving travelers. Parking is free. Delicious light pasta and fried rice, coffee and drinks are provided. The room was very clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful. The environment is clean and quiet, so you can have a good night's sleep after a long drive. Sleep well! If I have the chance, I will still stay here next time!"
Kirishima Onsen Ryokojin Sanso ★★★
"Good open air onsen, good breakfast and dinner, very good customer service, easy parking."
Hotel Kyocera ★★★★
"Good la"
Urban Hotel Kokubu ★★★
"Thank you for allowing us to stay at your hotel for a company dinner. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful, which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely like to stay there again when we visit the area. Thank you very much."
THE PULSE KIRISHIMA ★★★★
"Have shuttle bus service, but most of the visitors will drive by themselves. Good for family with children."
Sun Hotel Kokubu Kagoshima ★★★
"I requested a quiet room due to insomnia. A little after midnight, I heard a man talking loudly in front of the elevator, which caused me to miss sleep. I slept from 2:30 until 5:00, so I only got about two hours of sleep. I told my husband this at breakfast. My parents live in Mizobe-cho, so we chose a cheap hotel just to sleep. My husband left just before 8:00 to do some electrical work at his parents' house. I hadn't gotten any sleep, so I stayed at the hotel to take a nap. At 8:15, I heard the man who had been talking so loudly the previous day. He seemed to be on the phone. I was so irritated I couldn't fall asleep, so I called the front desk a little after 9:00 and explained what had happened. I was told to change rooms, so I waited in my room. Then, a little after 10:00, cleaning began in the rooms around me, and I heard banging noises, so I called the front desk a little after 11:00 and asked if my room had been changed yet, and was told they hadn't. I couldn't sleep, and by midnight, I was getting increasingly frustrated and decided to try a different hotel. However, the other hotels I stayed at today were over ¥20,000. I booked this hotel early and when it was cheap, so ¥20,000 just for a night's stay was too much. This hotel was also expensive, costing ¥12,000 a day. I paid ¥12,000 for an app, and when I asked for a full refund for both yesterday's and today's stay, they called the police. This is the worst hotel. I asked the hotel if I wanted a quieter room, but they insisted the only quiet rooms available were next to the elevator. They called the police, and we were the ones who suffered the most. They kept saying, "It's a business hotel, aren't men supposed to sleep in business hotels?" They kept saying there were foreigners and all kinds of people there, and it just didn't work out. The police also insisted on providing a quieter room, but it didn't seem worth it. They asked if the hotel should just do that. They even said the police couldn't intervene in cancellation and refund requests, which is only natural. Since we had already checked in before the police arrived, they told us from the beginning that the agency probably couldn't intervene in the refund/cancellation issue, and that it would be up to us to discuss it with the hotel. We travel abroad four times a year and always stay at resort hotels. This was our second time staying at this hotel, looking for a cheap hotel near my parents' house. It was fine the last time, but I wouldn't recommend it if you can't get a good night's sleep, regardless of the price. They said it was normal for it to be noisy because it's a business hotel, and I argued with them in front of the police, but the hotel didn't say anything. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It doesn't feel cheap. It felt expensive. Paying ¥70,000 for a night at a resort hotel doesn't seem expensive. That's just our opinion, as we spend half the year traveling. This hotel's service was awful."
La Vista Kirishima Hills ★★★★★
"I've stayed at La Vista many times and am consistently satisfied. The breakfast is excellent, the spa is fantastic, and the rooms are unique. However, this time the view from our room was terrible; we couldn't see anything. It's also a bit unreasonable that the hotel didn't offer any other pillow options."
Kirishima Momijidani Seiryuso ★★★
"A comfortable night, the tranquility in the mountains, a first-class vacation!"

Hotel Myoken Tanaka Kaikan
"It's only half an hour's drive between the airport and the hotel, which is both convenient. But the bus only runs three times a day, which is too few. The hotel does not have an elevator, which is very inconvenient."
Kirishimajingumae Youth Hostel
"This is a family-run guesthouse with friendly staff. It's less than a minute's walk from Kirishima Shrine, and hiking up to the shrine early in the morning was truly delightful. The place is very peaceful and perfect for relaxation. I also had the best grilled chicken of my life nearby. I'll definitely come back again if I have the chance."
Kirishima Hanamurasaki
"It's a nice, cozy inn. The hot springs were excellent, as expected in Kirishima. The food, however, might be a bit too salty for those who are concerned about salt intake."
Hoshino Resorts Kai Kirishima
"Every corner of the hotel is beautiful and the service is very good. The outdoor hot springs looking at Sakurajima Island are unforgettable. The hot spring lounge is very comfortable and the cable car experience is also very special. In terms of catering, the dinner was delicious, but the breakfast was a bit overshadowed by comparison."
Yamanoyu
"I stayed at the first night of my Kagoshima trip and used it for day trip hot springs and dinner on the last day. Despite the reasonable price of less than 5,000 yen for a night stay, the hot springs are flowing from the source where you can enjoy looking at the river. The day trip hot spring is available for 300 yen, and shampoo, conditioner, body soap is also complete. In addition, I was unintentionally relaxed in the healing space where dogs and cats welcomed me. You can enjoy the dishes outdoors like a river floor, and of course you can enjoy the river from the room. Arrived by late flight at night and check-in was around 22:00, but the envy of the red lantern that suddenly appeared in the mountains was like a Yuya of "Spirited Away", and it was exciting before entering the building. The building has a modern atmosphere, and you can see the river from your room, and you can spend a luxurious time enjoying sake while watching the river flow."
Business Hotel Sugi
"Feel comfortable."
Kirishima Miyama Hotel
"Like it much, the spring is convenient and breakfast is delicious. There is a lawson nearby and the bus stop is just outside the hotel."
Tajima Honkan
"I visited for a quick dip in the hot springs on a weekday afternoon. It's located in the heart of Myoken Onsen, and is the origin of hotels like Gajoen and Tenku no Mori. To enter the bath, you pay at the reception and then go to the building at the edge of the parking lot. The changing room is clean. There is only one bath, and it was occupied by local regulars. I managed to squeeze in at the edge. The water quality is weakly acidic, similar to the nearby Myoken Onsen. You need to bring your own towels and toiletries."
Kirishima Hotel
"The hot springs were very good."
Manyu
"The hot water was good, the food was good, the service was good, I'll come again."
Youyuan
"I had the best sleep in this hot spring hotel during the whole trip. The waiter was very kind and explained it to you. There is Lawson about 8 minutes away so you don’t need to drive."
City Hotel in Kokubu
"It was a little old hotel."
Yumotoankiyohime
"Way above the expectation"
Ryoutei Ryokan Takechiyo Kirishima Bettei
"If you're visiting Kirishima, this is a good choice. If you're going to Kirishima Shrine, this is the top choice, as it's a 10-minute walk from the shrine and within a 10-minute drive of other attractions like ranches. Crucially, the service is exceptional; they proactively ask where you're going and usually offer pick-up and drop-off. The hotel has about 10 rooms, and you rarely see guests, except for the private onsen. Even the large bathroom was empty when I passed by, very quiet and very Japanese. The food is exquisite, with seasonal ingredients; it would be even better if they offered American-style breakfasts. The hotel's airport transfer service exceeded expectations, taking only half an hour to Kagoshima Airport."
Hotel Kirishima Castle
"It had been a while since my last stay, but the hot springs and meals were just as I remembered, and I was able to enjoy myself while feeling very nostalgic."
