Popular Kirishima 4-star Hotels

Hotel Kyocera is probably one of the largest hotel in Kirishima. It has two buildings ( main and annex) and looks quite good architecturally. They are connected by a bridge on the 3 floor which has the walking escalator- and a display of the various places that have been listed as world heritage sites in Japan. Inside the main building, there is a glass church which is ideal for weddings. In the basement, there is a large onsen, and spa. It is certainly a good place for having a holiday. The overall condition of the rooms are good- and the rooms are of good size. My room faces the East and has a perfect view of sunrise! I decided to go to Kai Kirishima and Kagoshima, expecting a view from the room overlooking Sakurajima. Without knowing the positional relationship between Kirishima Onsen and Kai Kirishima. I found this place when I lived in Kirishima Onsen Village and tried to move to another place. Check-in at 4 o'clock.. I arrived early.. I got off at the nearest train station and picked up the service later, 4 check-in was a bit late. Because it is a residential area, you can't see anything near Yokan. On the contrary, it is really quiet, so it’s nice to rest. There are too many kaiseki dinners, I did not apply, I only applied for breakfast. The breakfast time was really good, I looked at the scenery outside~~The hot spring was too slippery.. The stone was too slippery. I enjoyed the hot spring very carefully. The location is not very good. . Most Japanese people come here.. Most of the staff can only speak Japanese.. The prefectural road from the airport was a mountain road with quite a few ups and downs. There was a lot of traffic, and honestly I thought it was far away. However, it was an accommodation that made me feel glad that I had come this far. The room was a two-room Japanese style room with a bed. There was also a garden and an open-air bath on the first floor. I could see the mountains of Kirishima and it was a soothing view. It was quiet and I didn't have to face other customers. As it is called a Japanese restaurant and inn, all the food was very delicious. As mentioned in other reviews, the miso-yaki large shrimp was so delicious that I wanted to eat more. All items are carefully crafted using local ingredients. Perhaps because the soup stock was good, the soy milk hotpot was rich and rich. It was quite a portion, but our family of four ate it all. Although it is quite far from Kanto, I would like to visit again to try this delicious food.

Tired, crowded with grubby carpets but a great buffet and sweet staff. Some renovation has clearly taken place in this building, for example the 3rd floor dining room and the lobby. But our bedroom bathroom was not clean and the fittings were clearly very old. I do understand that the acidity from the volcanic emissions attacks metal fittings but that doesn't explain the dirt in the corners and margins of carpets, the stains on the ceilings and the dirty coverings on fans and speakers so easily replaced. The staff however were absolutely lovely, especially on reception. The hotel was extremely busy with happy multigenerational families enjoying the onsen. The breakfast and dinner buffet was first class. A fabulous variety of fresh produce served in Japanese style with some Western choices too. Generous and it kept coming throughout both sittings. We tried a private bath, old, slimy and lagged in deposits. The public onsen was better. We took a bus up the hill to the Ebino Plateau and walked among the volcanoes, and enjoyed coffee and the fabulous eco-museum. It was all gorgeous, although the path from Mount Karakunidake to Omari pond is very steep.
