If you ever come to Knysna and are looking for special accommodation, there is only one recommendation for me. Book a room at Isola Bella on Leisure Island. It is a beautiful house run by a warm-hearted, nice and friendly hostess Marisa. The location, right on the shore of the lagoon is breathtaking, the rooms are very clean and stylishly and tastefully furnished. I actually never book accommodation without breakfast. Anyone who knows Knysna knows, that the best breakfast ever is served at the "Ile de Pain" on Thesen Island. The two complement each other perfectly. Take the chance if Knysna is on your itinerary.

Our stay at Isola guesthouse was just outstanding. The property on Leisure Isle is so beautiful with it overseeing the spectacular Knysna lagoon. We were a group of friends travelling and the owner of the guesthouse, Marisa Rafffinetti upgraded us to the upstairs rooms free of additional charge. We very much enjoyed the fact that we could then share a lounge, coffee station and spacious terrace. The rooms are tastefully furnished and everything is impeccable - The owner was just the most helpful and charming host. We travelling to Knysna again, we can't wait to book into Isola guesthouse.

One of our most memorable stays of our three-week tour around the Cape - the accommodation is world class and simply incredible. The outlook across the Knysna lagoon to the Heads is breath-taking despite miserable weather prevailing.

Easy - the best place to stay on the Garden Route, easy.
Huge place, has it all, first line in front of the beach, endless balcony space, huge rooms, spacious bathrooms, spotless clean - it has it all.
And Marisa is the nicest host!
Not even a single bad thing to say, just perfect.

Thank you for the lovely stay at Isobella Guest House. The view and positioning, facing the Knysna Heads, was excellent and the room was well appointed. The staff were most helpful. We will definitely like to repeat this trip.

You couldn't ask for more, an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Located in the most beautiful setting, the rooms top quality, the house is an absolute gem, and Marisa is the most friendly, gracious host.

The three of us had a wonderful apar**ent with a wrap around balcony giving wonderful views of the lagoon. The day time weather was excellent but evenings were bitter cold and the apar**ent had no heating. The country is having daily power cuts and candles had been provided. However there were no matches or torches. We called the owner who seemed to have given the matter little thought. She did ask the maid to bring in matches and an oil filled radiator which helped for our 2nd night. It is such a pity that our memories of this wonderful place include being cold and the owner not really caring.

Felt very welcome. Friendly and helpful host Beautiful surroundings Had a great stay Room is very fancy, holiday feel, very suited for cold nights. Electric blankets for cozy sleeping, towel warming. Very spoiled.

What a beautiful house with stunning views. Leisure isle is a gem and very safe. You can walk everywhere. Isola Bella's staff were very friendly and the host Marisa is a lovely lady. Would love to return one day
