Pezula Nature Retreat

Protea Hotel Knysna Quays
"Amazing stay in Protea Knysna. Very good location on the waterfront. Easy access to food and the waterfront shops! Very safe and hotel is clean and good! Would recommend"
St. James of Knysna

Villa Castollini
"I needed a luxury getaway for myself. Wow, what a treat. 5 star experience My room is Exquisite with breathtaking views. The place is very private with s complete sense of being cared for, yet no disturbances. This exquisite venue offers total relaxation without falsely boasting fake opulence, as the people, from owners, perfect management and adorable and attentative staff. Peaceful and tranquil with the finest of detail taken care of. I will definitely return again."
The Lofts Boutique Hotel
"service was amazing, our room was perfect, nice and quiet at night. Staff was also friendly and welcoming, cheers to the young man Iviwe there at the front desk."
The Russel Hotel
"The rooms was what we needed for our stay, breakfast was amazing ,will definitely go back .The service was on point"
Turbine Hotel & Spa
"Hotel and restaurant exceeded all our expectations! Lovely rooms and more than excellent food! You can feel the passion in every dish. Thank you so much for hosting us!"
Crown on the Heads
"We booked a room with a king-size bed and were given a room with a queen-size bed. The room had a lot of hair on the floor and didn't look very clean. The welcome gift as a gold member was also missing. Various items ran out at breakfast and were no longer available. As the hotel only has two rooms with a king-size bed, the owner (Lesego) promised to refund us the difference in the room price. To date, the amount has not been refunded and we have not received a reply to emails or Whatsapp regarding the outstanding refund. This all points to a very dubious management, which is why we can only advise not to book this hotel."
The Mount Knysna
"Great view. Great setup. Great food. We loved it so much that we extended our stay. John (owner) has the ultimate setup (a beautiful home turned into a luxury hotel) that I wish I could replicate in my life too. Staff are amazing. Jordan specially took great care of us!!!"

Teniqua Treetops
"We had a great night at Teniqua Treetops! It was amazing to stay in such a special and quiet environment. Would really recommend!"
Kanonkop House
"Wow, wow wow! Please don’t stay in knysna proper stay here. It’s so easy and affordable to get into town or a quick drive. This property is beyond amazing. Mark and every single person from his team went over and above anything I could have ever expected. They have a lovely bar area with a breathtaking view where you can mingle with other guests or take a glass back to a large comfortable room with lots of space. There is no detailed missed and the food is excellent. We will be back."
Head over Hills
"Faboulos location with spectacular views. The hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment especially for price. Faboulous breakfast. For the price, the hotel rooms are a tad tardy and need to be upgraded. The PVC chairs in our room were peeling, the shower flooring needs regrouting, the layout of our room was very dangerous with pillar in middle of room and having to walk upstairs to bathroom with no ballustrade. Would prefer a toilet that is screened off from rest of the bathroom. The shower door did not close properly resulting in water leaks, the floor tiles were very slippery which made them dangerous. We could not use the bathtub as bath plug had been removed due to water outages. The room lacks a full length mirror which is expected at a 5 star establishment. Definately not value for money due to condition of the hotel rooms."
Knysna Hollow Country Estate
"Open app Your location Knysna Hollow Country Estate 5 Welbedacht Ln, Kanonkop, Knysna, 6570 Hotel Maqbool Jamdar 129 points 5 hours ago Spent 2 nights at this hotel ( not sure where the country estate comes from). Rooms not bad in size, plus is the big bathroom with walk in shower and l'Occitane bath accessories which is different from other hotels. Nice location but away from the Knysna waterfront. Quiet location and nice gardens with 2 medium sized pools and small play area. They have padel courts but this must be booked through another company for hire of court and equipment. Downs: Very limited breakfast, buffet style with small selection of scrambled , tomatoes, hash browns NO halal options which is a big negative. Most of the other hotels around here have this and a area where they provide omelettes At this hotel you have to pay extra for an omelette, Really?? If you are looking for a halaal friendly hotel then rather look elsewhere as what you pay is nice for hotel and room but not for food. We usually stay at Fancourt and this place is far from that in terms of experience. Agree that this gives you value for money but the kids wanted additional things for breakfast compared to what was offered. Reminded me of some of the business hotels I've used for work which offer the basics for the business traveller for breakfast. Was worth trying it out but maybe not for us.Lovely lady at reception who i chatted with regarding my concerns and it seems I'm not the only guest who has commented on the food offering. "
Knysna Log-Inn Hotel
"A unique experience in Central Knysna! Loved the wooden hotel, private balconies, crystal blue pool, and sauna. Will definitely be back. "
Hide-Away Guest House
"Lovely host! Great to be given so much of her time and knowledge-made the stay so much better than a faceless hotel where we just get checked in. This is after all a guesthouse and not the Four Seasons! Meant too, that we did not wasted our limited time in the area because what we did was quality. We enjoyed a large room right by the pool with a splendid view. Good toiletries and nice robes! Breakfast a good balance between healthy and holiday treats if you succumb! Although we never had time to use it, the honesty bar and snacks is a great idea. Thank you."
Orange Inn Knysna
"They really deserve 5/5 - lovely size bedroom, lounge and kitchen with good quality fittings. Staff are lovely and its in a very quiet area, but still close to all amenities. Will definitely be our first choice on our next visit. Awesome thanks"
Knysna Manor House
"What an amazing stay. The rooms are neat and tidy, the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend it, 10/10."
Simbavati Fynbos on Sea
"The pillows are the fluffiest ones of the most place to go to whenever you want to go to whenever you want to go to whenever you want to go to whenever you want to go to whenever you want to go to whenever you want to go to whenever you want to go to whenever you want"
Simola Hotel, Country Club & Spa
"We stayed at Simola on a family trip in 2024 (Easter). It ticked all the boxes and I gave a well deserved 5 star rating. The Pros- the reception and restaurant staff are stellar as ever. I was pleasantly surprised that they still remembered my daughter (they went all out for her birthday in 2024) and they were ready to accommodate us for an earlier check in- thank you. The breakfast buffet is exactly what a 5 star breakfast service should be- delicious, lots of options and attention to detail. So HUGE THANK YOU! These staff deserve a raise. The cons- Unfortunately something has dramatically changed with the quality of the rooms and the cleaning service. We stayed in Unit 6D this time (2 bed suite). The unit was very poorly serviced and maintained. Carpets in the bedroom were damp and musty and had a lingering smell. The master bath had a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SMELL and the cleaning was piss poor. The bathroom had caked up dirt between grout lines and the corners were messy. The window in the toilet has not seen a damp rag in months. It was abysmal (and that is putting it lightly). Given that we were out most days (on a netball tour), I honestly hoped they would do better. Next day, the cleaning napkins were 'forgotten' on the kitchen island with all the grime and stuff. The bed was uncomfortable and barely made properly. It is clear the unit needs a serious upgrade, but what good will an upgrade do if it is not well maintained? If Simola has changed their cleaning staff in the last two years, allow me suggest you reverse that decision ASAP before the entire place is run down! On the whole, I was highly irritated staying at this place."
