We spent a weekend at Bamboo and it was like we hand landed on a far away tropical paradise without the huge travel costs and long flights. We felt like we had discovered a secret gem. If you've ever wanted to go to Thailand or Bali, this lodge gets you close. The rooms are beautifully set up and comfortable. The bungalows are set in a lush tropical garden. The surrounding bird song was wonderful and we got to see the Louries up close through the dining windows. A stay also come with a generous breakfast. And you can book an in house Thai massage. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Super accueil par Henri, appelé au dernier moment pour la nuit meme pour 6 personnes (1 ch de 4 et 1 ch de 2 ) . Super mignon, les chambres sont tres spacieuses et l ambiance vegetale, l ameublement sont absolument magiques !!! Carrement une piscine privée pour la chambre de 2 ! Pleins de conseils pour nos visites, le petit dej de tres bonne tenue. Ok c etait peut etre basse saison, mais le rapport qualité prix est excellent. Bref, on y retournera pour la gentillesse et l originalité du lieux !

Really nice walkway, unique rooms, great breakfast. Could be a little cleaner and naturally there is the odd insect here and there. But overall a unique stay at a unique guesthouse. Had a good time with loved ones.

Although there is a drought around the Cape at the moment, Bamboo was a lush, tropical hideout and perfect getaway in contrast everywhere else on our holiday. Every aspect of the grounds is carefully thought on in its own quirky way. Old "Singer" sewing machines and vintage typewriters surrounded by vegetation, line the wooden pathways that connect all of the individual accommodation locations. We stayed in one of the honeymoon suites that featured a stone bath and huge bed. Every feature of the room was individual and bespoke. We arrived late in the evening and rather than venture into town for dinner, the owner offered to cook for us on the open fire in the lounge. The steak was perfect and the accompaniments were just what we needed after a long drive. The rooms are private and comfortable, and the breakfast is simple and freshly prepared to order. This is not a place of pretention or of clean sharp lines and minimalism, but of charming hospitality and absolute relaxation. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, this is it.
